Inner Health Guru: 7 Steps to Invoke Your Inner Fitness Master

I used to look back at my good, old, healthy days when I ran and played tag with my friends. No matter how tiring it was, there was always something fun about it. But as soon as I grew up, even moving my body to the next room seemed like a huge problem. That’s how lazy I’ve become. And if you’re relating to my story, welcome to the world of procrastination and laziness—we’ve lost our inner health guru for real.

A lot of us who used to be fit and healthy have found ourselves muddled in the obesity culture. Even when we try to follow a diet with all the messy diet schedules that are scattered on the internet, the real source isn’t there. This is why invoking our inner health guru matters. Yes, once we awaken that fitness villain (a good villain) within us, they will keep us motivated and remind us of how healthy we once were. In this article, I am going to give you certain easy tips that will help you and me invoke the inner health guru in a short time.

Vision Your Dream Body

Choosing what body type you want is one of the best ways to let your passion for fitness burn. Note, you shouldn’t compare your body to anyone but rather just be inspired by them to follow a fitness plan. Once you choose a dream body, note it down in a journal along with the time period you’re willing to graciously give yourself to achieve that body. Mention what kind of exercises, such as pushups, planks, etc., that you need for your vision and allow yourself enough cheat days to get you started slowly but steadily.

Understand Why

What made you all of a sudden want to get back on the fitness track? Was it because of any health issues? Are you planning to casually cut down on unhealthy foods? Whatever the reason is, once you figure it out, note it down and keep reminding yourself about it. Any time you feel a little lazy and try to stop the workout routine, quickly look into the purpose behind your fitness journey. This method will help you get the fire back whenever you feel like giving up.

Hit the Gym

Healthy competition can help you get back on the fitness track

The real reason why going to the gym can help you is because of the exposure that you’ll get. With workout machines, people, and trainers all around you, you will be constantly motivated to not give up. You will surely feel like competing healthily with a gym mate, which will benefit both of you. Moreover, you can seek the help of a gym trainer, who will ensure that you follow the routines properly.

Take It Slow

Good things take time, so keep your exercise pace at its lowest when you start off. If you immediately begin a rigorous workout routine and pump up your muscles, you will find yourself taking a break for a few days. Ultimately, it will drain your energy, leading you to lose interest in working out. Remember to calm down, embrace your body, and give it the right amount of push for the fitness guru to invoke.

Do Not Compare

We often tend to compare ourselves and fail to notice the changes within ourselves. During the process of finding your inner health guru, there are chances of unintentionally comparing yourself to other people, especially if they have your dream body. Whenever you find yourself in that position, note that it took them time to get into that shape as well. So with the right amount of exercise and diet, you can achieve it as well. What matters most is consistency and how quickly you shed weight.
