Tastefully Yours Episode 6 Recap
Picking up after the last episode, Yeon-joo gets a call from Jeon Min the night after her date with Beom-woo. He tells her that Chef Tatsuo is very ill and this might be her last chance to see him. Overcome with emotion, Yeon-joo leaves a manual for the rest of the staff and goes on her own journey. The manual contains every detail that they will need to run the restaurant and it’s heartfelt nature leaves everyone emotional… until they see the extent of it!
As work starts as usual at Jungjae, the three of them feel overwhelmed doing Yeon-joo’s work and although they try very hard, things don’t go as smoothly as expect. Meanwhile, Young-hye is incensed to know that she is being replaced as head chef at La Lecel. However, her screaming is not going to take her far with Seon-woo. At Jungjae, Yu-jin arrives to steal Jungjae’s recipes which Beom-woo tries to stop with all his might and Chun-seung joins him in his pursuit.

Yeon-joo calls Beom-woo the night they try to get rid of Yu-jin but she disconnects the phone before he can talk to her. However, he does hear Jeon Min’s voice in the background. Overcome with tons of scenarios, he immediately jumps to the worst possible conclusion and goes off to Sapporo in search of Yeon-joo. She, meanwhile, makes Tatsuo’s dinner for him in hopes that he will finally eat something and they go back to Le Murir once more. It brings back memories of the night she left her job and we finally learn about the puffer fish incident.
Either way, Jeon Min tries to convince her to come back, tip-toeing the line on forcing her, but Yeon-joo holds her ground until Beom-woo arrives out of the blue. He asks Jeon Min to not cross the line and the latter cockily replies that they have already done so. After a rather awkward pause, she pulls Beom-woo away. After spewing a whole lot of nonsense, Beom-woo finally lets slip that the reason why she came after her is because he missed her.

Elsewhere, Young-hye learns about the merger between Hansang and Le Murir while trying to find who was hired as her replacement. At Sapporo, Beom-woo continues to follow Yeon-joo around as they shop for Tatsuo. The men continue to badger her with proposals for dinner and she eventually runs into a nearby bar to end the insanity. Once Yeon-joo goes to the washroom, Beom-woo, in the midst of a pissing contest with Jeon Min, learns that the restaurant’s name is actually something that they had agreed on years ago.
Either way, just then Beom-woo gets a call from Young-hye who tells him to check his messages. He is shocked to see that the new head chef of Hansang will be Jeon Min. He is left shocked at the two restaurant converging, more so when he looks inside to see Yeon-joo having a great time with Jeon Min.
Tastefully Yours Episode 6 Review

I am just going to say it; as much as I loved watching Yoo Yeon-seok on screen (and trust me, I really like it), I hate the angle that this show is taking with him and Yeon-joo. I think the series was great as a sweet, light-hearted and dramatic watch. I can’t understand the point of this ex-boyfriend angle.
However, I did find myself shocked with the Hansang x Le Murir twist. I did not see that one coming. I am looking forward to see that unfold. But, this whole Sapporo thing is forced and unnecessary in my opinion and Beom-woo being ignored is not something that I can accept – blame Kang Ha-neul for a fantastic performance!
