Shaq Episode 2 dictates the story of the NBA legend proclaiming multiple championship trophies and transforming himself into the most valued player of all time. The episode is filled with many special appearances from NBA all-stars and coaches and has a runtime of forty-two minutes. For the unversed, the docuseries is based on his personal and professional life and is directed by Robert Alexander.
The series is primarily focused on the Shaquille O’Neal story and stars almost everyone who has contributed to the eventual success of the sports icon. This also includes his family and siblings, Jamal and Lateefah Harrison, along with his mother Lucille O’Neal. Furthermore, Brandon Riley serves as the series cinematographer, while Roahn Hylton and Jacob Yoffee have given the music for the project.
-SHAQ EPISODE 2 REVIEW DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS-
The first episode of the sports documentary introduced us to Shaquille O’Neal’s upbringing, and his rise to high school basketball stardom, which eventually made him a professional player in no time. Whereas, the second instalment ventures more into the golden NBA year for the player, which definitely gave us some unforgettable slam dunks and hoops.
The series further continues in the same fashion of witty and comical elements, to advance the storyline. And this time around, we get to see a literal comic strip version of Shaq, as an ancient hero, who must address his minute flaws in order to achieve a higher glory. The setup is uniquely amazing and perfectly syncs in with the humour of the NBA Giant.
We also get to see Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal’s struggle in attaining the championship title, and his constant criticism by media and retired players, until he finally met with one of the most decorated coaches of the league. The trajectory of portraying his NBA career is entirely wholesome and does complete justice to his brilliance in the game.
The episode is really motivating in terms of standup to your potential and doing justice with your talent. Moreover, the part where Shaquille created the NBA record of 2000, is something that resonated the most and made me nostalgic about the game. Notably, the use of real game footage and back-and-forth interviews in the series is just another example of pitch-perfect production.

Furthermore, if you love Shaquille O’Neal cracking jokes about one of the tensest situations in NBA Games, then this episode is something you should not miss upon. It has the humour, the thrill and the summary of Shaq’s wholesome personality.
