Rough Diamonds Ending Explained: Created by Rotem Shamir and Yuval Yefet, the Netflix series follows a Jewish orthodox family in Belgium’s Antwerp Diamond Square Mile trying to keep their generational business stable. The crime thriller stars Kevin Janssens in the lead role alongside Ini Massez, Robbie Cleiren, Marie Vinck and more.

The eight-part series is co-produced by Keshet International and Belgium’s De Mensen and is shot with a mix of Yiddish and Flemish along with a little French and English. Each episode has a total runtime of approximately 50-55 minutes.

Rough Diamonds Ending Explained

Things took a turn for the worst in the Wolfson family after the youngest son took his own life. Noah, the estranged brother, returns to Antwerp 15 years after he left the ultra-Orthodox lifestyle to figure out the cause of his death. During the visit, he realized that the family had more secrets than he could imagine. In between conspiracies and scheming, he tries to keep the family business afloat, all the while reconnecting with his long-lost love.

Did Noah end up with Gila?

Gila is the wife of Noah’s late brother, Yanki, who took his own life. Following the tragic incident, she became lonely and had to raise the children all by herself. However, she started to reconnect with Noah again after his return, as they shared the same past. Feelings between the two began to bloom, and they grew closer with each passing day. But soon, she found out that he was having an affair with another woman, which made her doubt the future of the relationship.

One day she received a marriage proposal from her old friend who resided in the US. She saw it as a great opportunity to move away from the family and get a better life for her kids, but she still had strong feelings for Noah. Additionally, he also proposed to her and asked her to move away with him to London, and she agreed. But the situation with the company became worse, and he could not take her to London anymore. Hence, she decided to get married and shift to America with her children.

What happened to Wolfson Diamonds?

Noah sketched out a plan to save both the company and his family from turmoil. He offered the prosecutor, Jo Smets, information about the stolen diamonds that the Albanian mob possessed in exchange for full immunity for him and his family. However, Smets refused because her principles mattered more to her than anything else. After much convincing, she agreed to offer a deal in exchange for the valuable data. But the information Noah provided turned out to be fruitless as the diamonds were not found in the location.

Noah later found out that the Albanian mob had a mole inside the police force who informed them about the raid, and they moved it before the cops could reach it. In order to save the company and his family, he revealed that half of the diamonds were in London. The valuable intel saves Wolfson Diamonds.

Where were the stolen diamonds?

The Albanian mob kept half of the diamonds secured, and the location was not revealed to Noah. However, they also revealed that half of it was sent to Kerra, his mother-in-law, who stayed in London. During the last few minutes, it is shown that the police raid Kerra’s secret factory and arrest her. Additionally, Matthias was shot dead by two men on a bike, and it can be presumed that he was killed due to suspicions of him being a mole.
