Riverdale Season 7 Episode 1 Reactions are hilarious and largely remain positive as the fans find the unique plot interesting. The show has managed to rile up the audience and bring up opposing opinions in the past; however, this time around, everyone seems to be in agreement.
The newest and final season of the series premiered on March 29, 2023. Adapted from Archie comics, the show stars KJ Apa as Archie Andrews, Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper, Camila Mendes as Veronica Lodge, Cole Sprouse as Jughead Jones, Marisol Nichols as Hermione Lodge, Madelaine Petsch as Cheryl Blossom and more.
In the new season, the entire cast of the new travels back to the 1950s and only Jughead is the one who remembers their past life. The relationship dynamics have changed even though the characters remain the same. The OG couples are not together anymore, and new love interests begin to show up. As Jughead tries to assimilate into the new world where a hamburger and fries cost only 30 cents, he finds it difficult to make everyone aware of the situation.
Betty is dating Kevin, and Cheryl’s brother is alive and named Julian. Archie is smitten by the new student Veronica Lodge, and Judhead tries to fit himself among these entangled relationships. Nevertheless, even if things are weird, he is still friends with the old group and slowly tries to bring them all together.
As usual, Twitter users have a lot to say about the episode. There were not many criticisms as the plot points were not as outlandish or ridiculous as they expected. The show has a reputation for adding the most bizarre plot points; however, for the final season, they have decided to tone it down, and the series looks promising so far.
Additionally, fans are also excited about the new ships forming. A friendly banter among the users continues as they root for their respective ships. Barchie (Betty and Archie) is getting a lot of traction as fans are desperate for a few romantic moments. The Choni (Cheryl and Toni) ship is sailing with full force, and new ones like Jabitha (Jughead and Tabitha) are also establishing.
