This episode begins on a very positive note cause all the misunderstandings between Doo-joon and Hee-won get resolved when he confirms his feelings towards her. They even kiss each other, and decide that even though they will date, they will not let the office people know about it. From the next day, they start acting like a proper couple and even flirt with each other without being shy. But it is becoming a lot more difficult to pretend everything is normal cause of the intensity of the flirting both Doo-joon and Hee-won are doing in front of their colleagues.

After seeing Hee-won texting, her team leader directly asks her if she has a boyfriend. And she indirectly accepts that because there was no other way. After work, Hee-won is also voting for a non-alcoholic beer because she wants to capture that emerging market, because of all the people who are now prioritising health. Sadly, in this segment, Hee-won also gives a clear answer to Min-wook about her feelings towards Doo-joon. She lets him know that there was once a time she fancied him, but that is not the case anymore.

She tells him that before Min-wook’s call, she was not really accepting of her own feelings. But with his help, she understood that she actually loved Doo-joon all along. At night, when Doo-joon meets Hee-won at her workplace, they also witnessed something hilarious, and this segment was really funny. But Hee-won is seeing all the changes within her body and realising how she is progressively looking more like a pregnant woman. Each day passes. Later, Doo-joon and Hee-won spend their day at the amusement park, where they have a lot of fun.

But later, everything turns tragic cause her mother comes to confront her, and that gets witnessed by Doo-joon. They fight a lot, and Hee-won leaves Doo-joon and her mother alone on the street. Following this, Doo-joon finally comes clean about his brother to Hee-won and then lets her know how he lost his brother. This was an emotional sequence where they talked about each other’s past and their familial problems. They kind of bond by sharing their common issues, and that strengthens their relationship even more.

But everything collapses when the news of an employee becoming pregnant with the president’s baby gets out. And we also found out it was the team leader who revealed this news. She also tries to humiliate Hee-won in front of everyone. This moment completely shifts the atmosphere, turning what was once a private struggle into a public spectacle. The betrayal feels especially cruel to Hee-won, as it comes from someone in a position of authority.

Positively Yours Episode 8 Review

I loved today’s episode as the main characters can finally express their love towards each other properly. The last twist was also great. Now that everyone knows that Hee-won is pregnant, it will be interesting to see how they will treat her. This revelation is likely to test not only her professional standing but also Doo-joon’s resolve to stand by her publicly. The episode closes on an uneasy note, setting up what could be the most challenging phase of their relationship yet.
