My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 20 Recap
This episode carried a deeper emotional weight, particularly highlighting the intense relationship between Toga and Ochaco. At its core, the focus is on Toga’s internal struggle, amplified by the use of her Sad Man’s Death Parade, which paralyzes those around her as she attacks without hesitation. Her grief intensifies when she realizes that Dabi might be gone, losing yet another person she cared about. This revelation pushes her further to the brink.

Toga, consumed by rage and heartache, refuses to listen to anyone, determined to eliminate the heroes she believes want to harm her. However, one person stands out—Ochaco, who is determined to reach her. Throughout the episode, Ochaco tries desperately to get through to Toga, urging her to reconsider her path of villainy. She recognizes that Toga isn’t inherently evil or beyond redemption. Despite the harm she’s caused, Ochaco sees the pain that Toga has endured.
We’re given a glimpse into Toga’s tragic past, where she was mistreated by her own family. Her inclination to drink the blood of those she loved was viewed as disturbing, and she was labelled as unstable from a young age. The lack of understanding and acceptance she faced shaped her into the person she is now.

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 21 Review and Recap
We get a continuation of the aftermath of the supposed battle between Toga and Ochaco, which was unlike anything we have seen. We can’t really term it a fight because Ochaco did not use her powers to harm or kill Toga but, on the contrary, tried to accept her the way she was. Thankfully, that little bit of acceptance was enough for the revenge-driven villainess to finally calm down.
However, things do not look very good for Ochaco, who lost a tremendous amount of blood after getting stabbed by Toga. On top of that, Ochaco kept using her quirk and even made sure to land the heroes in a safe manner. In such a scenario, where Toga has finally found someone who is truly caring towards her, she cannot let that person die in vain. But the highlight of this episode is definitely the battle that takes place between All Might and All For One in the latter half.

The spirit of a hero does not die, and that example comes alive with All Might, who just does not care that he is quirkless. He knows that even with all the modern gadgets in his arsenal, he might be able to stop All For One, only for moments, but that moment itself is enough for him. Thus, All Might come to the battle, guns blaring, ready to fight his mortal enemy with a smile that brings hope to others.
Interestingly, All For One still gets agitated over the hero’s confidence even after being technically more powerful than him. This proves that even though All For One is at an advantage, the will to protect far exceeds the desire to take revenge.
This episode had some intense and thrilling scenes. The beginning was definitely more emotional, but the moment we encountered All Might and All For One, the whole mood turned electrifying. Even the background score was really good, which complemented the ongoing scenario very well.

Verdict
I love today’s episode and really appreciate how this season did not miss even once with its content. Every episode has been an absolute banger and downright entertaining. Here, you can feel that the end is almost near, and even though I am feeling sad about it, I admire how everything is coming together.
