My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 Review- Threads Of Hope

Gigantomachia My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12

Never has anything in media been so aptly titled as this episode was. With the return of Best Jeanist, the #3 hero (despite not doing anything for the past six months), new life was breathed into the Heroes, who were all fighting for their lives. One of Dabi’s statements was immediately proven to be false, making people doubt a lot of what he was saying and neutralising the biggest threat they had currently- Gigantomachia. Hope was alive once again, and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.

We also learned Bakugo’s hero name for the first time, as he saved it the next time he saw his old trainer, Best Jeanist. It was just as bombastic as you would expect it to be, but there was also a lot of nuance to it that isn’t always visible at first glance. It fits him very well, but he was just a small part of what went down in this episode. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 was an episode where all the heroes you cant think off, and even ones you can’t, came back to put up one final defence against the bad guys.

Fight back My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12

The sega of the Todoroki family, with Dabi making his intentions of destroying Endeavor’s masterpiece clear. The endgame was Dabi against Shoto, as Endeavor’s oldest son fought with his youngest. As I mentioned in the previous review, Shoto deserves to be highlighted for how well-written his conflict is here. The entire conflict has been very well-constructed, as Endeavor, Dabi, and especially Shoto all played their part to perfection. My Hero Academia has always been great with emotions; this was a great example.

Another thing the show is always good at is the music. Yes, the animation might lag around for a while when compared to other shows as popular as this, but the soundtrack always guarantees that you are going to feel great while watching this show, no matter what is going on in front of the screen. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 featured a bunch of old and new OSTs, all of which perfectly fit the tone of the episode. The show sounds like a dream, an intense and action-packed one at that. A very familiar OST also returned, which was a joyous moment, but saying what it is would constitute a spoiler because of what it represents.

This arc was insane, and as it comes to an end, one could easily place it as the best one the show has ever had without other people having many objections. So much happened in this season that a recap at the start of this episode was a welcome addition, even though people had gone sick of these in Season 5. This was among the best episodes of this season, which is saying a lot. The show has never been better or had more potential than here. They even added a tinge of humour!

Verdict

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 12 was about fighting adversity, taking heavy losses, and still finding a way to persevere. This was an exhilarating watch that featured many hopeful and feel-good moments.
