My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 6 Recap
Episode 6 pushes the final season’s tension to a breaking point, centring on a confrontation that’s as emotional as it is explosive. The battlefield feels more chaotic than ever, with heroes and civilians watching anxiously as the stakes continue to rise. At the heart of the episode is Deku, who makes a drastic decision that goes beyond typical combat strategy. Rather than simply overwhelming his opponent with strength, he takes a leap of faith that reflects how far he has come and how deeply he understands the weight of the conflict.
The episode emphasises how Deku sees his enemy not just as a threat to be stopped but as someone carrying enormous pain. His willingness to reach out, even while risking everything he has, becomes the emotional core of the story. This approach creates a sharp contrast with the destructive path the villain has walked, and the episode takes time to explore the buried anguish driving that destructive force. Through brief glimpses into the antagonist’s troubled past, the audience is reminded that the battle is not just physical: it is tied to years of trauma, loss, and twisted guidance.

As Deku pushes forward, other characters react from the sidelines, some fearful, some hopeful, adding to the sense that the outcome could shape the world around them. The action sequences blend seamlessly with moments of heavy introspection, building toward an ending that feels both intense and uncertain. The final moments don’t give clear answers but instead set up an emotional cliffhanger, hinting that Deku’s gamble might change everything.

My Hero Academia Final Season Episode 7 Review

Deku finally witnesses the moment Shigaraki kills his dog, and everything starts to spiral down for him. He realises what exactly happened that caused Shigaraki to kill his entire family. Deku, in his child form, decides to intervene and visualise something else within Shigaraki. He gives himself up to Shigaraki so that he does not lose himself anymore. Deku sees and feels just how much Shigaraki had to suffer from inside all his life.
Deku reassures him that he came because he felt relieved when somebody chose to take his hand, and he’s doing the same for Shigaraki. Even adult Shigaraki could not believe that his hatred was melting over something so simple. He even imagines playing with his childhood friends. However, in the last moment, he decides to remain a villain, as he chooses to become the hero of his comrades.

However, reality finally sets in when it is revealed that all the troubles that Shigaraki faced up till now had been entirely planned by All For One. He even materialises in Shigaraki’s subconscious realm, and he gains total control because Shigaraki’s mental and emotional barriers diminish. Even Shigaraki’s birth was planned by All For One. He also stole the quirk factor that Shigaraki inherited from his parents and gave him decay so that he could become the villain that he is now.
All For One’s plan is clear; he wants to kill Shigaraki’s spirit and entirely delete his existence. This way, he can have a brand new body for himself. He manages to get the body, and we see a brand new villain who is a weird concoction of both All For One and Shigaraki.

Verdict
This aspect entirely changed the whole narrative and made this episode absolutely brilliant. How things go on from here on is something that you should find out yourself, as this episode is worth every watch.
