Do-hee is devastated that Gu-won does not exist anymore to the point of being depressed all the time. She even tries to drown herself but forsakes that plan. On the other hand, Seok-min is happy that he could destroy both Do-hee and Gu-won at the same time.

Do-hee is so sad that she even goes to the hospital because she falls sick, but she finally gets up and tries to live a normal life. Despite she also desperately tries to make a deal to get her husband back. This request is heard by God, who does make a deal with her and finally sends Gu-won back. Now Gu-won refuses to leave Do-hee’s side even for a second, and he goes straight to God to give her his thanks.

Then we get to know that God accepted Do-hee’s request because previously Gu-won asked for her support. There is also the fact that God lost a bet with him, and hence, God decided to be generous to him. Gu-won also goes to meet Bok-gyu and Ga-young, who are ecstatic to see him.

Do-hee later asks Gu-won on what grounds he made a deal with her parents. Then he reveals that there was once an accident when her mother was pregnant. While her mother was dying on the road along with an unborn Do-hee, Gu-won came to make a deal with Do-hee’s father and saved both Do-hee and her mother.

Gu-won also goes to his delinquent follower’s restaurant and congratulates them for their successful venture. Back in her office, Do-hee is visited by Soo-an, who is now trying to butter up Do-hee because she thinks she will be the next chairwoman. Do-hee visits Seok-min, who becomes crazier after learning Gu-won is back. He even hallucinates about his mother and loses his mind.

Se-ra finds her and her son’s picture inside his certificate and remembers how her son truly loved her and tried to get stronger so that he could defend her from his father. But she never protected him from Seok-min’s abuse. She later decides to open a center to help abused children.

While on her way to England, Ga-young visits her home but encounters a small girl who was getting abused by her father, just like Ga-young when she was young. She then reports the father to the police, promises to take care of the child, and decides to stay in Korea for now.

Da-jeong and Bok-gyu also revealed their relationship to Da-jeong’s colleagues, but they were not surprised as they already knew about them. After a small time skip, we see Gu-won collecting bad souls who deserve to go to hell. On the other hand, Seok-hoon becomes the new chairman of the company, and Do-hee works under him.

From her lawyer, Do-hee gets to know that Cheon-sook already has cancer, and she realizes that that is the reason why Cheon-sook forced Do-hee to get married as soon as possible. Back in their house, Gu-won and Do-hee talk about how they do not have much time in the world as Gu-won will live forever, and Do-hee is just a human. But they do not let that fact depress them, rather they embrace the truth and promise to love each other forever. The show ends with Gu-won and Do-hee living a happy married life where they fight but soon make up and continue to love each other.

My Demon Episode 16 Review

The last episode was pretty satisfactory, as almost everyone got their happy ending. You will only feel bad for Se-ra and Do-gyeong because they were the unluckiest.

Gu-won and Do-hee are also expected to live a content and tranquil life without many obstacles. But I did expect a bit more drama with the return of Gu-won, as it felt a bit too effortless. But our couple went through a lot, so that’s fine as well.

The series is streaming on Netflix right now.
