Ms Incognito Episode 2 Recap

After the last episode, Yeong-ran is left confused with Sung-ho’s decision to marry her, and he lets her know the plan – to present her as the perfect target for all of his bad wishers and wait for them to fumble. She, however, doesn’t believe this will work since the years have changed, but he assures her that people never change. In the end, though, Yeong-ran refuses to take the bait and decides to resign from her position. However, with a ton of debts and a greedy family, she eventually has no other option but to change her mind.

The next morning, the two get married, and Yeong-ran is given a rundown on how she must refrain from interfering in company matters to secure her inheritance. However, there’s a catch – when Sung-ho requests it, Yeong-ran must perform euthanasia on him to have some leverage against her. It’s a dangerous situation, but Yeong-ran agrees to go through with it regardless. Right afterwards, her entire demeanour changes as she adapts as the new madam of the house.

Next comes keeping Yeong-ran safe, and the plan is to send her to Muchang, a very small town, where no one will suspect her, and the siblings won’t know about her. However, before the plans go into motion, Sung-ho falls terribly sick and he’s given less than 3 months to live. When the news reaches Seon-yeong, she is glee-ridden and spreads the news to journalists so that it cannot be hidden anymore. The next morning, Sung-ho asks Yeong-ran to carry out his euthanasia that night and end his suffering. However, instead of giving Yeong-ran the trauma, he chooses to end his own life.

The entire house is heartbroken, more so Yeong-ran, who questions why he would change his plans. At the funeral, the siblings are left absolutely shocked when they learn of what Sung-ho has done before dying, but there’s nothing they can do about it legally. Seon-yeong tries to get Bulter Choi to stop Yeong-ran from stepping out of the house for a week, but these plans fail when Hye-ji overhears them and reports back to Yeong-ran.

The next morning, the two try to detail her, but she uses her exceptional skills to incapacitate them and make a run for it. As the funeral proceeds, Yeong-ran makes her way to the airport and switches clothes, eventually taking the bus to Muchang with the help of Lee Don. In Muchang, in a twist of fate, Yeong-ran, or Bu Se-mi, is surprised to see Dong-min in front of her, unaware that he doesn’t know of her real identity.

Ms Incognito Episode 2: Jeon Yeo-bin, Jinyoung

Ms Incognito episode 2 continues its thrilling run as things go from bad to worse within one episode. Jeon Yeo-bin, as usual, is a force to reckon with as she mourns the chairman’s death, fights with those who wish her ill and flees like a boss within a span of a few scenes. The season, although just starting, already feels tense and is addictive, and I can’t wait to see how the Muchang arc will go now that Dong-min has been added to the mix. All in all, a great first week.
