The series is based on the life of an awkward high-schooler who just might be the strongest psychic in this world. As strong as he is with his psychic abilities, there are many things in his life that he is unable to control, the most important of them being his awkwardness and unpopularity in his school. Along with his boss and his mentor, prolific bullshitter Reigen Arataka, he learns how to fight his battles or even when to run away when in danger.
Season 3 of the highly popular series follows Mob, Reigen, and Serizawa continuing to run Reigen’s business of hunting down spirits while dealing with issues of their own. Mob is on a mission to figure out what to do with his life and future, while Serizawa wishes to get a standardized school education that he never received. Reigen is, well, Reigen is Reigen, with everything that entails.

Well, that came out of absolutely nowhere. Mob has been struck down by a truck, of all things. Who knew that galaxy-destroying powers aside, the greatest psychic in the world was just as vulnerable to blunt-force trauma as you or me? This changes everything. It is hard to see where we go from here, but the preview does hint towards Mob not being unable to move at all and some other characters coming to his rescue. Nothing is off the table right now as Mob tries to recover from the worst thing to ever happen to him.

Hanazawa is going to play a big role in this week’s episode as the only psychic able to face Mob in the state he is going to be, as shown in the preview at the end of the previous episode. Mob is facing his biggest challenge so far because he might be in a position that even his tremendous psychic powers might not be able to help him in. Reigen, Ritsu, and Tsubomi are also a shoo-in for appearing in this episode, so expect this to be a wild one.
