I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 3 Overview

I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 3

I’m Quitting Heroing, or Yuusha Yamemasu in Japanese, is an action, adventure, comedy, and fantasy focusing on a post-war world between humans and demons. It is based on the light novel “I’m Quitting Heroing” (Kadokawa Books) written by Quantum and the original character design done by Hana Amano.

The anime adaptation is developed by Studio EMT Squared, an outfit that has produced many other anime such as The High School Life of a Fudanshi, Rainy Cocoa, and The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar. The show is being produced with Yuu Nobuta (Saihate no Paladin, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear) serving as chief director, Hisashi Ishii (Ame-iro Cocoa: Side G) as the director, and Shigeru Murakoshi (Zombieland Saga, Murenase! Seton Gakuen) overseeing the series composition.

I’m Quitting Heroing Review – Communicate For Efficiency!

A good-hearted employee might not always be the best thing for an organisation, especially when they are naive and ineffective at their job. How do you teach them the correct approach? Specifically, when the said employee is your boss? I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 3 shows how the ex-hero tries to deal with this scenario!

With his successful support to the Sorcerer General Shutina in the previous episode, the ex-hero Leo is now tasked with supporting Lily in logistics in Yuusha Yamemasu Episode 3. This is a very important mission, as the Demon Army’s supplies are running low, and Lily’s plan to complete the task are just crude drawings. This makes Shutina doubt the success of the urgent and significant operation under Lily’s leadership, prompting Leo as a support role.

Upon arriving on the island, Leo quickly understands how daunting the task is. He cannot do anything without Lily’s permission, and asking her straight to her face will undermine her authority. After a lot of brainstorming, Leo designs a scheme that will make Lily realise the true essence of teamwork, or will it? You see, Lily is not a General without something to her credit!

The show addresses different problems people might encounter in their workplace. From being an effective communicator to finally proving yourself indispensable and finding your permanent place in the organisation are all part of one’s journey as a part of a workforce. Accompanied with the premise of the organisation being a demon army and the new employee being their previous enemy and ex-hero makes the whole situation hilarious. With Leo constantly having to keep his identity hidden while proving his worth, we salute his constant efforts!

I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 3 also dealt with themes of capability and communication. With Lily being one of the four generals of the demon army, we wonder what led the Demon Queen to make such a decision. Unlike the previous episode, this one did not proceed exactly the way Leo planned it. Leo understood he could communicate better. And Lily proved that she might be immature and a little goofball, but she’s not as dumb as people think.

Yuusha Yamemasu Episode 3 was a great comical episode in the series. Despite the plot not progressing much, we got great insights into the history of this world. It has become clear the show is portraying humans as the irrational ones, infuriatingly impossible to coexist with any other species they deem different or too strong. Despite the possibility of the storyline darkening in the future, this episode was easy-going and likeable. The animation of the beach episode was well-suited to the general recreative and entertaining tone of the story. The opening and closing theme songs were mild and did not overshadow the episode plot.

Lily overly enthusiastic
