Some of the viewers were clearly disappointed and some have been on the edge waiting for How I Met Your Father Season 2. For the latter half of the population, the wait is finally over for the reboot of the OG sitcom is heading right back with another brand new season. The creator of the sitcom is Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger and, it serves as a standalone sequel to everyone’s favourite show from the early 2000s- How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM).

How I Met Your Father Season 2 Cast
We will see the return of Hilary Duff as Sophie along with Chris Lowell as Jesse, Francia Raisa as Valentina, Suraj Sharma as Sid, Tom Ainsley as Charlie, Tien Tran as Ellen and Kim Cattrall as the future Sophie. We will also see Ashley Reyes as Hannah, Leighton Meester as Meredith, Josh Peck as Drew, Meaghan Rath as Parker and Stony Blyden as Jasper. In addition to the old cast, we have Mark Consuelos, Constance Marie, Michael Cimino and John Corbett joining the cast for the new season. The trailer surprisingly revealed a popular singer as a guest star on the show and it is Meghan Trainor!
How I Met Your Father Season 2 Plot/Synopsis
For How I Met Your Father Season 2, the trailer description for the show reads: “Sophie and her close group of friends take on changes to their careers and love lives as they stumble into their 30’s. Figuring out life through trial and error isn’t easy, but there’s nothing you can’t get through with friendship and plenty of laughs.”
How I Met Your Father Season 2 Release Date and More
The series faced renewal back at the beginning of 2022. Now, the premiere for How I Met Your Father Season 2 is scheduled to arrive on 24th January 2023. The first episode is titled ‘Cool and Chill’. Looking at how the previous season released its episodes on a weekly basis, we think the same will have for the new season too. Additionally, the episodes are going to have a runtime of approximately 30 minutes like most sitcoms out there.
