Friendly Rivalry: GOT7’s Youngjae Set to Make Acting Comeback After 3 Years in Upcoming Mystery Thriller Alongside Hyeri

GOT7’s Youngjae is set to return to the acting scene after a three-year hiatus, starring in the much-anticipated mystery thriller, Friendly Rivalry The news has created a significant buzz among fans and industry insiders alike. The drama, which is already generating excitement, recently revealed its impressive female cast and confirmed Choi Young-jae’s participation. His agency, AndBut Company, has officially announced that he will star in the series, marking his first acting project since 2021.

Friendly Rivalry is helmed by director Kim Tae-hee and features a stellar cast, including Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, Chung Su-bin, Kang Hye-won, and Oh Woo-ri. The series is adapted from a popular webtoon and centers around the intense relationships and fierce rivalries among teenage girls at Chaehwa Girls’ High School, an elite institution for the top one per cent. The storyline promises to delve deep into the complex dynamics of high school life, blending suspense with drama.

Youngjae’s role in the drama has been kept under wraps, but this project marks his first return to television since his appearances in So Not Worth It and Love & Wish in 2021. His previous acting endeavours showcased his versatility, and fans are eager to see how he will bring his unique flair to this new role.
