Fixed Review
The entire point of Fixed‘s humour is talking about sex, peeing and pooping, but this time it’s by cute doggies who are trying to save their precious balls from being taken by their humans. The film has its funny moments as we watch a very horny Bull and his doggy friends living it up on the final night before he has to say goodbye to his two friends. The wild adventure comprises a gang war with stray cats and a surprisingly bloody rampage through the town after a squirrel. You know, typical dog stuff.
Fixed is technically fine. It’s light-hearted and a short watch that keeps things breezy and moving. You don’t feel any particular way about the plot because it’s as generic as they come with regard to talking animated dogs. There’s a lot of sex talk; actually, that’s all that we talk about constantly here. I mean, it is an adult animation, so technically there’s nothing wrong with it, but I don’t understand why that should be the only thing Bull and his friends should be worried about. But then again, I am not a dog specialist and maybe that is all that they think about. Who knows?
There’s also an often missed discussion surrounding friendship and identity in the mix of the sex that is pleasant to watch. Although again, generic, Bull and his friends share a sweet bond that makes you root for them and their plights. Helmed by a fantastic voice cast, the film does its best to entertain us with its wafer-thin plot that consists of no complications. With Adam Devine as Bull, we are left delighted at the pups getting into shenanigans as Bull has his last night of fun.

In the end, the film champions individuality, and it’s our differences that make us who we are. It’s sweet and reminds us to embrace ourselves wholeheartedly. The no-nonsense film isn’t rousing or memorable, but it makes us feel warm and reminds us to love ourselves and others for who we all are.
Final Thoughts
Fixed on Netflix is a fun, forgettable watch that is wholesome and extremely crass sometimes. Although nothing special, it’s good entertainment for its short runtime.
