Drops of God Plot/Synopsis
Camille is still coming to terms with the fact that her father has passed away. He wasn’t around for too long, and she hadn’t even spoken to the father in 11 years, so hearing that she may inherit something extremely important from her father is highly surprising. While he may have been a food connoisseur, she is not that at all. Her father, though, was smart. He decided to test his protege and his daughter to see which of them deserved his legacy.
If not an insult to the protege, this is a wildly overwhelming situation for the daughter. She has never tried to speak or think about food in an analytical way, yet it feels like she has a grasp on something deeply intuitive. Obviously, Camille is scared, but so is her opponent. He is scared because he doesn’t know how to think of certain things that involve the deeply personal details about Camille’s father. There are many reasons the protege could come out on top, but the test has been constructed in a very specific manner to dole out specific responses.
Valued at almost 145 million Dollars, the wine collection either of these kids could inherit is a collection of stories that all link together somehow. There must be a moment when this larger story is revealed, and the father’s plot could finally make sense. While it is unclear what the larger plot is, Camille is convinced that this is not just some normal test of worthiness but a deep-set lesson for both of them. Only one of them can come out on top. Will it be Camille?
