Buried Hearts OST: Songs That Pour Out Seo Dong-ju’s and Yeo Eun-nam’s Pain

The new Korean drama starring Park Hyung-sik may have come to an end, but we are ready to revisit some of our favourite moments through the Buried Hearts OST! These songs fit the mood of the Kdrama perfectly, been there for Dong-ju’s ups and downs, and we bring to you the tracklist right in one place. With this, let’s take a look at the much-awaited playlist for the show!

Buried Hearts (보물섬) follows the chaos that unfolds between a man who hacks into a political slush fund and steals 2 trillion won and the man whose fund has been taken away. Bringing an intense thriller as the game begins, we see a chase and clash between two individuals who are different from each other but hold a determination that makes them similar.

The soundtrack of this Kdrama is seriously something that cannot be missed out on. And adding to the wonderful songs are music videos with scenes from the show that only highlight the magic of these songs. With this, let’s begin the OST list!

Buried Hearts OST!

Confusion by An Shinae

Get ready to go through some of Dong-ju’s (Park Hyung-sik) most tragic moments in just a few minutes through this song that gives you the gist of the whole Kdrama itself. An Shinae’s voice seeps into the depths of the tragedy that this has become in so many parts and brings out the deeply buried emotions that have made us cry alongside Dong-ju many times. This song takes on a melancholic tone and keeps it until the end as we see the pain get worse.

Next To You by Lee Ra-on

Prepare yourselves for the song that brings us some of the best moments of the show. Dong-ju and Eun-nam (Hong Hwa-yeon) take up the stage for this one, and we see their happy moments (which weren’t many but still deeply embedded in our hearts). Seeing these two smile throughout the music video is a wonderful feeling, and Lee Ra-on’s voice singing out the lyrics filled with their emotions adds the cherry on the cake.

Stand by Me by Elaine

Bringing in the untold wish for the comfort of love and wanting to feel ourselves wrapped in its warmth, this song will soothe you and then make you cry. As the scenes in the music video unfold, you slowly find your heart breaking for Dong-ju and Eun-nam, who just wanted to be together. The show doesn’t give us a happy ending, and it’s the same with this music video, but Elaine’s voice makes it worth the watch.

Break Through by Seol Hoseung

It is time to change the mood of this list, and this is the song that does it right by bringing us a song that is just as theatrical as the show. Matching the complex side of the Kdrama that kept us on our toes, this song is perfect for the twists and turns that took place in the show. And with Seol Hoseung singing the song, the vibe only gets better than ever as Dong-ju begins to break through the adversities in front of him.

Think of Me by O.WHEN

Let’s go back to our beloved Eun-nam and Dong-ju through this song that is filled with nostalgia. The song takes this feeling to another level as it brings us some of our favourite moments of the couple while we see them doused in their own nostalgia. As O.WHEN’s voice dives deep into the emotions shared by the two and take us through a sad moment, we cannot stop ourselves from falling in love with this song.

I’ll Wait For You by Lee Chang-sub

Despite the troubles brought to them by the world, Dong-ju and Eun-nam always found their way to each other simply because of their persistence to wait. This song sings of their promise to each other to always find their way to each other and wait when needed. With Lee Chan-sub singing out these feelings in this song, it is easy to be moved when listening to this song.

Last Story by Lee Seung-yoon

A song filled with longing for someone who is no longer in front of us, this song breaks our hearts right from the beginning. The music video begins with Dong-ju’s realisation, childhood memories, and the way his life changed, the scenes match the song beautifully. While the song by Lee Seung-yoon brings immense sadness to the listener, it also provides comfort and hope as you continue listening.
