BTS Jungkook Solo Album GOLDEN Hits 3 Million Sales Making Him the First Korean Soloist to Do So!

The year 2025 has certainly started off with a bang for BTS ARMYs as they not only get to witness the reunion of their beloved members after their military enlistment but also see the efforts of their support come to light. As BTS Jungkook hits a record high of 3 album sales becoming the first and only Korean soloist to do so, fans cannot help but feel proud at this moment. With this, fans around the world cannot stop talking about this delayed news that confirms that he hit the said numbers back in 2023.

As Hanteo’s yearly charts release, fans couldn’t help but notice that achievement accomplished by the group’s beloved Golden Maknae who has certainly stood by his name. The charts show Jungkook’s debut solo album GOLDEN to have achieved more than 3 million album sales across the world in 2023. Being the only Korean soloist to have achieved this record, it is obvious that fans are going to trend the news for sure.

Jungkook’s GOLDEN album was released back on November 3rd, 2023, and features many popular artists like Jack Harlow, Major Lazer, Latto and DJ Snake. The album contains some of his biggest hits like 3D, STANDING NEXT TO YOU, SEVEN, and more. The album has also won the singer numerous awards including Album Bonsang (main award) at the 38th Golden Disc Awards and Artist of the Year at the 13th Circle Chart Music Awards.

With 11 tracks, the album has been widely popular among the masses all for the right reasons. The singer brings his melodious voice to enchant the audience as he sings them to the crowd. He didn’t hold back on performing the song to the crowd as he chose some of the most iconic places to perform the song, including a surprise concert at Times Square in New York City.

The recent charts show that Jungkook achieved this marvellous feat back in 2023 and now fans are speculating that he must have also hit the 4 million mark by the end of 2024. While the data for the same isn’t out yet, it wouldn’t be a surprise as this isn’t the first time Jungkook is breaking some records.

Jungkook’s GOLDEN album also become the first and only Korean album to reach 4 Billion streams on Spotify and also the fastest to achieve this feat in just 276 days. This soon gained him the title ‘King of Spotify’ by fans which is a given because the beloved maknae of BTS truly knows how to bring the best and motivate his fans in setting records for him. The love between the artist and his fans is truly reflected in these exchanges which only heightens the excitement they hold to bring more surprises to each other.

The charts also show fellow BTS member V following right behind Jungkook and nearing the 3 million mark, aiming to become the second Korean soloist to do so. Once again, these are the 2023 records which means that any time soon news of V becoming the second Korean soloist to hit 3 million could come by while Jungkook sets to reach the 4 million mark in album sales.

As the excitement continues within the fandom, BTS is ready to bring more surprises for fans as soon as the members are soon to return from their military service. Following Jin and J-Hope, BTS members RM and V are set to return on June 10th, 2025, followed by members Jimin and Jungkook who will be released the next day on June 11th, 2025. Meanwhile, BTS member Suga is set to return from the military on June 21st, 2025.

This is sure to increase the excitement of this year’s BTS Festa as the members are back with more music and love for their fans. And with more future records to break, even their beloved ARMYs are waiting in anticipation and with an energy that is ready to support them once again.
