When is Norwegian Sci-Fi Film Blasted Releasing on Netflix? Find Out

Blasted is a Norwegian Sci-Fi original film set to be released on Netflix in June. It is directed by Martin Sofiedal and the screenplay is written by Emanuel Nordrum. We got to know about the film first when the first trailer was released during Netflix’s Geeked Week event. It is said to be inspired by the real-life UFO phenomenon in Hessdalen, Norway which has been reported to occur several times a year since the 1930s.

The film will have a runtime of about 1 hour and 55 minutes. It is produced by Heidenstrøm of Miso Film and Peter Bose and Jonas Allen will serve as the executive producers. Recently, films dealing with the topic of zombies, aliens etc are becoming common and highly watched content on Netflix. Being based on real-life events it will be interesting to watch how it would be inculcated in a fiction story.

The cast includes Axel Bøyum as Sebastian, Fredrik Skogsrud as Mikkel, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Hjørdis, André Sørum as Kasper, Evelyn Rasmussen Osazuwa as Stine, Mathias Luppichini as Audun, Eirik Hallert as Pelle, Ingar Helge Gimle as Georg, Rune Temte as Roy, Cecilie Svendsen as Josefine.

Blasted Plot/Synopsis

The official Netflix synopsis of the film reads as – When an alien invasion interrupts a bachelor party, two childhood friends reunite as the kick-ass laser tag duo they once were to fight back. It follows the story of two childhood friends Sebastian and Mikkel, who are reunited for Sebastian’s bachelor party.

While Mikkel never matured past the teenage laser tag prodigy, Sebastian has grown into a career-obsessed workaholic who’s using the party to get a potential client onboard. But when the bachelor party stumbles head-first into an alien invasion, it’s up to Mikkel and Sebastian to reunite as the kick-ass laser tag duo they once were and fight back.
