Behind Every Star episode 11 starts with veteran actor Lee Soon-jae forgetting things around him, resulting in confusion both at work and outside. Although the doctor mentions that it’s no big deal and will pass in some time, Jung-don is concerned, especially since he forgets things while on site.
At Method, Hyun-joo faces flak and ostracization from everyone in the organisation, but Hae-jun asks Tae-oh to stay back and help the organisation retain its footing since he knows the ins and outs of the company. When Jung-don comes back, they further discuss Lee Soon-jae’s condition, and when everyone tells him to let the actor continue working, he expresses his displeasure at their selfishness.
While Hyun-joo finds acceptance from Jin-hyeok, Hae-jun and Jane continue to lock horns over the concept of an ad. He mentions that she is all talk and no action, and Jane doesn’t have a leg to stand on against his accusations. Meanwhile, Jung-don continues to pine for Hee-sun, who is riding the wave of attention and fame coming her way.
Later on, everyone is taken aback when Hae-jun calls Hyun-joo as the Talent Management Team manager, even though she didn’t apply for the position and is only an intern. However, Hae-jun being Hae-jun, gives out his final decision, leaving everyone shocked and confused, especially Jin-hyeok.
The decision, of course, doesn’t sit well, and Jin-hyeok accuses Hyun-joo of backstabbing him and using her father’s influence to get the position. After not being able to get through to him, he goes to apologise to Jane but is also met with cold indifference for backstabbing her with the Daniel Henney incident.
Later, when Soon-jae comes to the office, he asks for the managers’ help to finish his last project with dignity and grace since he has worked in all of his ventures with equal passion and dedication. While leaving, though, Soon-jae exchanges some choice words with Hae-jun and admonishes him for throwing Myung-aeh out. He further asks him to understand the necessity of each and every person around him because that’s what being a perceptive person boils down to.

After he leaves, funnily enough, Hae-jun gets excited that Soon-jae looks quite healthy and can finish the project without any difficulties.
That is exactly what happens when on the next shooting day, Soon-jae does a great job and delivers his lines perfectly. However, bad news comes in the form of investors who want to keep an eye on the actor personally; both Jung-don and the film’s director are annoyed with the ordeal.
When Jung-don tells Soon-jae of the news, he takes it well but soon after starts to feel unwell. In his confusion, he asks for Myung-aeh or Tae-ja, and finding neither around him, barricades himself in his room and refuses to shoot. The managers frantically start to call Myung-aeh but get no response from her.
Frustrated, Jane tries to think of a solution, and Hae-jun mentions that she should just go to her house and take her to the shoot location from there. When Jane mentions that she probably won’t help them out, he agrees to reinstate her, to which Jane, having had enough of his tantrums, screams at him. Back on set, the production representative arrives just as Soon-jae comes out of the green room, and they have a rather uncomfortable discussion.
Just when she is about to leave, unsatisfied with the answers she got from the actor, Myung-aeh barges in and reminds him of everything. The storm seems to pass over just by a whisker for today, but there’s still a storm brewing over the horizon. In one of the most interesting conversations of the series, Soon-jae and Myung-aeh make up after he apologises to her for making her break up with Tae-ja, a secret we were not in on to date!

Either way, Myung-aeh comes back to Method and is placed in charge of getting new faces and the way Hae-jun fawns over her is definitely karma. Everyone’s happy at her arrival, and things start to look up. Interestingly, Myung-aeh even forgives Hyun-joo and calmly tells her to think about what she wants and where she sees herself. When Tae-oh meets her, she tells him to right the wrongs in his life since it’s not too late yet.
That night, Tae-oh goes back to his house and thinks back to his life with his wife and son. He is left heartbroken, and starts to sob, and his wife finds him in a sorry state. She does feel rather bad for him but doesn’t tell him anything and leaves.
Meanwhile, Jane waits for Sang-uk at the park, where he usually goes for a run. She opens her heart up for him and apologises for everything wrong that she has done. He, however, coldly leaves her standing, and for a while, Jane looks absolutely heartbroken and rather lonely. Well, until he comes running back and opens up to her as well, eventually agreeing to give this another chance. Jane looks positively at a loss for words, but it’s clear that she’s absolutely thrilled.
At Method, Hyun-joo tells Hae-jun that she can’t be the manager of the Talent Management Team and would rather help her seniors. Hae-jun gives her a choice to either take the position or leave and mentions that she doesn’t want an employee who doesn’t have passion or drive. A confused Hyun-joo calls her mother for support, who assures her that coming back home is always an option if things get too tough.
Back at the filming location, Soon-jae starts to forget the scene again and has a flashback from one of his past shooting experiences. It’s a rather heartbreaking moment wherein he forgets where he is completely, and his blank eyes give away how lost he feels. Fortunately, Eun-gyul comes to his rescue and helps him to remember where he is and what his lines are, saving him from being surely thrown out thanks to the production overseeing keeping a close eye.
And as it turns out, Soon-jae might just have put on an act to get Myung-aeh back. However, it doesn’t seem like he will give away the truth any time soon!
Back at Method, Hee-sun and Oh Hun are beside themselves when they learn that the investors want to pull out of the film thanks to someone telling them that the movie is provocative and lewd. That someone is Jung-don, who went out of his way to spread misinformation. Thus, when Oh Hun refuses to make films anymore, he is beside himself with guilt.
Behind Every Star Episode 11 Ending
Meanwhile, Jane, having a pleasant meal with Sang-uk, comes across Hae-jun, who seems to be stalking Jane (?). The two men meet, and there’s clearly tension in the air as their handshake almost feels like a pissing contest. Jane, too, picks up on it and looks distraught.
On the other hand, having had enough of everyone, Hyun-joo decides to go back home finally. Jin-hyeok picks up on the fact that she isn’t there but will it be too late to stop her from leaving everything?
Behind Every Star Episode 11 Review
This episode is so sweet; I have a real soft spot for episodes such as these that are just so emotional and so very empathetic and caring. We get a rather sweet depiction of everyone’s lives and characters finding that arc in the storyline. No one is standing still and giving way for others to move forward. If anything, we see the different facets of these characters and how they can both be absolutely divine and insufferable.
All in all, it’s been a satisfying episode, especially for everyone who is emotionally invested in the characters.
