One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 5 Recap

One Punch Man Season 3 Episode 6 Review

In One-Punch Man Season 3, Episode 5, things escalate dramatically in the depths of the Monster Association. Garou, still recovering but determined, pushes onward through wave after wave of monsters, some demon-class, others far more dangerous. He faces a massive, dragon-level monster, barely holding his ground as the beast unleashes raw, destructive power. Meanwhile, Gyoro Gyoro observes Garou’s struggle closely. The monster king Orochi is introduced in a chilling way: his power feels vast, his transformation brutal. Orochi even begins to mimic Garou’s martial-arts technique in real time, showing just how dangerous and adaptive he is.

As the fight intensifies, Garou is cornered and battered, but he refuses to give up. Gyoro Gyoro, impressed by Garou’s resilience, reveals a sinister plan, as Garou is to be pushed closer and closer to death, not just as a fighter, but as a living experiment. Meanwhile, on the surface, Saitama remains largely oblivious. He wanders through the city, casually dealing with low-level threats, not realising how deep the danger runs below.

All the S-class heroes come to a meeting so that they can decide how they will handle the monsters. The discussion is about how, even though not every monster was very strong, some were pretty skilled. They go into details about the attack and strategise about the fact that the boss’s exact location cannot be confirmed. They all decide that whoever gets to find the boss first will be the one to take it out.

That is when Amai Mask comes because he was not the one called to this meeting. He gets told how anyone who is not an S-class hero doesn’t have to go inside the hideout, and they can stay above the ground to monitor the situation. As Amai Mask is too prideful for his own good, he disagrees with this and says that he will go as well. Following this, he goes on to fight with Tatsumaki and Zombie Man. He even claims that Zombie Man can be a monster, as he is immortal.

This is when King makes his appearance with his unlimited aura. Though he tries to tell the truth that he was just having hot pot with Saitama, the people beside him hype him up as usual. Thanks to him, the conflict that was going on between the S-class heroes finally dies down, and they get prepared for their assault on the monsters.

As Bang is not allowed to go to the mission, he gets all the information that he needs from King himself. Here, King gives an idea to involve Saitama and Genos and take them to the hideout as well. Both Bang and Silverfang agree to this. On the other hand, Genos has also gone through a tremendous boost in his power. If he uses his abilities too much, he actually runs the risk of dying, even though he is a Cyborg.

Verdict

Today’s episode did not have much in the first half as it was a preparatory segment that showcased all the heroes preparing themselves. It was also extremely dialogue-heavy as the characters mostly just talked. Other than that, whenever the talking segments come, the animation looks glaringly bad, and that is exactly what happened here as well.
