Lovers Anonymous Review
The plot of the show brings a clash between two individuals with varying ideas on the concept of love; while one has no trust in love the other shows him the power of love. Brought together by fate, the two have no other options but to work together at the Love Hospital started by Cem who has trust issues and doesn’t really believe in love. Along the way, the two begin to understand each other’s perspective and slowly fall into love, but will they ever make it work?
The show brings an intriguing concept of a hospital that is meant to cure those who are troubled by Love, which in itself is brilliant. We know that many of us would have liked something like this at some point in life, and seeing this concept come to life is the first thing that attracts us to this show. I have loved the way this concept in brought to life and seeing Cem use such intriguing and scientific ways to “cure” people in this hospital only makes it better.
While his character, on the other hand, maybe one that we would eventually come to hate at many points, we can see where he comes from. And showing us this other side to Cem is Hazal who is slowly beginning to discover the man that he is. The characters of this show are truly well-written, but what intrigued me most were the characters who came to every episode as the patients and stole the show. These various cases were truly the best part of the show without a doubt.
Meanwhile, our main couple- Cem and Hazal, well are both twisted individuals who are struggling with love in their personal lives. While this shows up in their personality in two different yet extreme ways, by the end of the show, one has found his cure while the other hasn’t. This makes me want to know what will happen to their story after this because this cannot be the end of their story.
On the other hand, we have to talk about the plot that proceeds quite smoothly with its fair share of ups and downs. You have two individuals who hate each other because of their clashing ideas on love, yet they are able to find their way to work together efficiently. They learn to move forward with changes in their personality. The character development really makes me want to keep watching the show as it continues to move on to new cases.
However, while the concept is unique and brilliant, there are times when things seem too unbelievable, which is where we need the reminder that this is a piece of fiction. These scenes can be easily ignored to look at the bigger picture so that you don’t ruin your own experience. Overall, the show is entertaining, intriguing, and worth spending time on.
Summing Up
Lovers Anonymous is an intriguing romantic drama that brings the concept of “curing love” at a Love Hospital, by specialists who has clashing ideas about love. The show not only entertains the audience but leaves with an ending that makes you hope for another season. With various types of “love diseases” being cured throughout the show, it is unique and worth the watch.
