Ziam Ending Explained
The ending of Ziam can be termed as bittersweet because even though Singh manages to get the ones close to his heart to safety, he fails to do so for himself. While Singh, Min and the boy survive till the end, getting themselves out of the zombie-infested hospital was the challenge.
Not only that, but the fact that the government does not really want to help anyone survive and just wishes to demolish the building so that the outbreak can be contained also does not help their case. On top of this, their society is already dealing with a global problem of food shortage, signalling how their fate is not secured anyway.
Did the Protagonists Find A Cure?

Even though I expected that a kind of cure or maybe a solution would be reached towards the end of the movie regarding the zombie apocalypse, that does not happen. As this one is pretty much treated as a beginning, or the starting point of the entire zombie breakout, we do not see any possible measures to counter the man-eating monsters, other than the traditional hitting them in the head.
So, no, there is no cure for this disease, and the protagonist does not find anything that can stop the mass outbreak.
What Caused the Zombie Apocalypse?
I was very interested in knowing what actually caused the humans to turn into zombies in a more detailed manner, but that answer never comes. In a world where humans are dying from a shortage of food, they turn towards insects and whatever they can find to eat.

However, when a man called Vasu introduces a large quantity of food from his experiments, he is expected to cure the global food problem. But that goes wrong, and one of the people who feasted on his most probably bioengineered fish ends up becoming a zombie. That is all the information we received regarding the disease and where it came from.
Who Survives in the End?
If we talk about the main film, in the end, Rin and the child get saved by a helicopter, which was supposed to ensure the safety of Vasu. I fully expected Vasu to be a maniac who would ensure only his safety, but his last act of staying with his wife showcased that he was just a loving husband who wanted to revive his wife.
He refused to leave Rin behind, and that decision led to his death. In the end, we see the hospital building get blown up, while Singh was still on the rooftop fighting zombies; this is supposed to confirm that he, too, had died.

However, in a major twist, we get a post-credit scene in which Singh is still alive and still able to kill zombies with his martial arts.

Can We Expect a Second Movie?
If things go well for the movie, it can definitely have a second part, as it ends on a cliffhanger. There, we might get to know the exact details of the zombie outbreak and how humanity can counter this. So, yes, another movie to explain it all will be good.
Apart from that, the protagonist of the film, Singh, is also alive, and we see him getting ready for a tough road ahead. This again means that there can be a second movie, and the makers have ample material to support that project.
