Lil Nas X to Jared Leto, the Weirdest Met Gala 2023 Looks that Left Us Baffled!

Weirdest Met Gala 2023 Looks: Every year, we will see a bunch of celebrities walking the Fashion world’s biggest night looking completely off the mark. At least with Met Gala 2023, we can assure you that the case was not that and almost everyone followed the theme, Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, as smoothly as possible. Be the fingerless gloves or the Chanel bride, all the celebrities walked the carpet with glitz and glam.

Of course, there were some derangements and digressions but, even with that we cannot say that these celebrities failed to serve us with something theme appropriate. What we can say instead is that these were probably the weirdest Met Gala 2023 looks and, the inspiration for so many memes today and for the years to come. Check out the list below!

The Weirdest Met Gala 2023 Looks

Lil Nas X

We knew cat was going to be a thing this Met Gala but, what the Old Town Road singer pulled was completely off the rails. Jewels, silver paint and a pair of thongs were his choice of attire and, we can say that we have been perfectly weirded out by it and so might be Lagerfeld’s cat who Nas was trying to embody.

Jared Leto

The Joker in the reel and, somewhat real life too, leave it to Leto to up the cat game a notch. He wore a catsuit, a legit catsuit and that is the story, my friends.

Janelle Monae

A Thom Browne coat which is actually a shuttlecock underneath- sounds confusing? Same, bestie, same.

Glenn Close

The real Glenn Close is here, looking unreal (in the weirdest way possible) in her bedsheets, we want to say. The silver cape, unfortunately, has not done the trick and we are kinda sad about it.

David Byrne

A monochrome suit is a fine choice but, we are still wondering what the bicycle exactly means. If you have the answer, let us know, please?

This year’s red carpet began at 6:00 p.m. ET at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York City on May 1, 2023. The event was live-streamed from 6:30 p.m. ET onwards on Vogue’s website.
