Created by Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble, The Sex Lives of College Girls stars Pauline Chalamet as Kimberly, Amrit Kaur as Bela, Reneé Rapp as Leighton, Alyah Chanelle Scott as Whitney, Gavin Leatherwood as Nico, Chris Meyer as Canaan, Ilia Isorelýs Paulino as Lila, Renika Williams as Willow, Lolo Spencer as Jocelyn and Midori Francis as Alicia. The first season had a lot of ten episodes, each 30-40 minutes long.

Kimberly
When we first meet Kimberly, she is a small-town, dedicated girl who breaks her walls to make friends and is there for them. She did have her share of fun in the first season of The Sex Lives of College Girls. Meeting Leighton’s brother showed Kimberly immense possibilities. But, Nico’s cheating on Kimberly left her shattered. To top things up, she cheated on her test at the college and, unfortunately, got caught which put her scholarship at stake. Now, with the scholarship revoked, Kimberly has to find a way to make ends meet for her while surviving the immense pressure of being in college itself.

Bela
Indian-American, sex-positive at the core and supremely talented, Bela has to be one of the most likeable characters in the show. A party lover and a comedy genius, Bela exposed the sexist environment at The Catullan during the first season and took the step towards launching her own comedy magazine at the end of the season. Her friendship with the girls and Eric has been the delight of the show.
Leighton
Initially, Leighton came off as the affluent, rich snob but, there are so many layers to her character we discover throughout the season. One of the biggest moments of season one has to be Leighton and Alicia’s relationship which did not end well for her when the latter decided to break up with the former as she was not ready to come out of the closet and take their relationship public. She is a supportive friend and, now, that she has come out to Kimberely in the first season, we can expect to see her more open and less secretive about her affairs.
Whitney
A soccer champ from Seattle and the daughter of a U.S. Senator, Whitney is the manifestation of the internet trend ‘looks like can kill you but, is a cinnamon roll’. We see her affair with her assistant coach Dalton take up most of the screen time in season one. However, the scandal soon comes to light but, ultimately, Whitney is able to survive the crash. We saw her make out with Canaan towards the end of The Sex Lives of College Girls Season 1, which gives the audience hope for the confident, star player to finally have a loving and age-appropriate relationship.
