– The Interest of Love Episode 15 Recap Contains Spoilers –
The Interest of Love episode 15 starts with Su-yeong looking at her desk at work for the last time before disappearing from her current life. The next morning, we find Sang-su shocked and confused at the progression of things as he stands in her now-empty home, looking defeated and heartbroken. Trying to find out her whereabouts also doesn’t render any results.
Sang-su, however, hatches an interesting plan with Min-hee and tells her to tell Tae-pyung to mark Su-yeong as absent so that he can have 10 days to find her and talk to her. To everyone’s surprise, though, in that morning’s meeting, the entire branch gets to know that Mi-gyeong is transferring to the Washington branch.

Other than Sang-su, however, Gyeong-pil looks sickly at the news of Mi-gyeong leaving them for the USA. At the team dinner that night to celebrate her going away, everyone asks Mi-gyeong about the status of her relationship with Sang-su now that she is leaving, and she finally breaks the news that they are no longer together. Thankfully for both their sakes, she tells them that it’s because long distance is not something they can handle.
Afterwards, Gyeong-pil gets a chance to talk to Mi-gyeong, and she asks him why he did what he did with Su-yeong. He refuses to tell her the truth, but Mi-gyeong now knows everything and thus asks him why he broke her heart all those years ago. Just as she’s about to walk away, Gyeong-pil tells her that although he liked her, he was told that he wasn’t allowed to do so. It caused him great pain, and he didn’t have the courage to stand beside her either, so he chose to destroy everything instead.
Mi-gyeong calls him a child still and asks him to stop pretending as if he doesn’t care – it’s not a good look for him. The desperation, in the end, is visible to everyone. The conversation and the fact that Mi-gyeong is leaving push him to tears. Later on, Du-sik and Eun-jung engage in a rather cute and heartwarming kiss for everyone.

The show of affection, however, pushes Sang-su to think about Su-yeong. The next day, at a bank event, Gyeong-pil takes Sang-su out for lunch to finally talk about everything. However, Sang-su isn’t in the mood to receive anything that he might have to say. Before leaving, though, Gyeong-pil learns where Su-yeong’s family might have gone from the new owner.
At Tongyeong, Su-yeong looks heartbroken, sitting in the dark in her room and looking at all the things from her past still lying around. Back in Seoul, Jong-hyeon tries to meet Su-yeong at her apartment but is left confused when he learns that she moved out a few days ago.
Meanwhile, a crestfallen Sang-su gets bombarded by calls and texts from Gyeong-pil, who finally gives him the entire voice recording of his little secret with Su-yeong. Sang-su refuses to listen at first, but Gyeong-pil’s insistence makes him reconsider his stance of not listening to it.
It’s time for Mi-gyeong to leave the next morning, and she shares a rather tender moment with her father, which is honestly a tearjerker. At the bank, meanwhile, Sang-su comes across Jong-hyeon and lets him know that Su-yeong resigned and doesn’t work at the bank anymore. After that conversation, he drops Mi-gyeong off at the airport, and after some pleasant conversation, the two bid their final goodbyes.

At Tongyeong, Su-yeong learns from one of Su-hyeok’s friends that it was actually her mother who was cheating, and she saw his father at the other man’s door talking to his wife so that she would settle the business without it going too far ahead. Su-yeong is left absolutely heartbroken at the realisation that she has been unfair to her father all of these years for absolutely no reason.
She immediately goes to talk to her father afterwards and directly asks him about his feelings after she berated him unfairly. Her father is left confused that she knows the truth, and she tells him that she is confused about the whole thing. Her father is confused as well and tells her that staying with her mother is more important to him, and now it’s that Su-yeong remains happy. The candid answer brings tears to her eyes.
Elsewhere, Sang-su decides to delete the voice recording in order to extend his suffering instead of getting to the bottom of everything. Not being able to get in touch with her, he decides to do something impulsive. Meanwhile, Su-yeong patches things up with her mother and later is left shocked at the beach when she finds the sandcastle that she had made with Sang-su.

Right on cue, Sang-su appears from behind her and starts crying, asking why she would disappear without notice. Su-yeong looks like a deer in headlights, and the two sit down to chat at the beach. She asks him why he came, and he gives her the new bank ID. He tries to convince her that it’s not too late to go back and that her resignation hasn’t been processed yet.
Unfortunately, Su-yeong refuses to go back and litters the ocean with her ID card. Thankfully for Sang-su, he dives into the water to recover the ID. I don’t know whether it will do anything to her career, but at least the ocean is saved this time. Anyway, Sang-su looks glee-ridden at having found the ID, and after some brief confusion, Su-yeong looks amused as well.
After getting his clothes dry in the public baths, Su-yeong and Sang-su have a sweet and normal conversation together and have breakfast. They weirdly always talk in riddles, but at least they do some touristy things together while in Tongyeong and for once after days, their smiles seem genuine. After dinner together, Su-yeong drops Sang-su off at a guest house and promises to meet him the next day.

To Sang-su’s surprise, however, Su-yeong comes over to drink soju with him right as he is about to turn in for the night. They play a game together, and Su-yeong finally opens up about her feelings of fear surrounding their relationship. Sang-su answers her questions truthfully as well, and eventually, the two end up kissing again.
The Interest of Love Episode 15 Ending
The next morning, it’s time for Sang-su to leave, but before that, Su-yeong apologises for leaving abruptly and thanks him for coming for her. She further promises to think about the job, and they make plans to eat pork cutlets together in Seoul the next week. Just as he’s about to get on the bus, Su-yeong promises to call him and then leaves as he goes home.
As they stare at each other, a voiceover by Sang-su mentions that that was the last time he met Su-yeong.
The Interest of Love Episode 15 Review

Of course, we aren’t getting a happy ending. Why should we, right? After making us go through a rather dull episode (at least the first part), we are subjected to this emotionally draining second half filled with slow and emotional conversations, only for us to be left in the dark with a confusing and devastating sentence.
Why do I have this sinking feeling that Su-yeong is going to end her life own life or something? The drama has me thinking of the worst possible outcomes possible, and honestly, at this point, nothing is impossible. It’s a total waiting game at this point. At least Mi-gyeong matured quite a bit, so that’s a thankful turn of events.
The Interest of Love is streaming on Netflix.

This drama was going good but that bullshit ending was ridiculous. What was the point of him trying to find her if they didn’t even end up together. It makes me not want to see episode 16. He says in the voiceover that the was the last time he saw her. So what is episode 16 going to show? Them living their lives. What a disappointment. Smh.
I have a feeling that it was a stupid thing that they did and will tell us in the next episode that “it was the last time that they met until next week in Seoul” or something stupid. I am infuriated with this series, but I just can’t stop watching. Like I look forward to the show every week 🙁
I agree that the ending is BS. First, why doesn’t he play the entire recording??? I kept thinking that the recording will reveal that they didn’t sleep together.
I am also highly upset with the voice over stating that it is the last time he sees her. Excuse the language but are you F*CKING kidding me???? I swear if Episode 16 ends with those two in misery, I am taking a 30 day break from kdramas…. This series has me so mad… And yes, I know it is a kdrama. I know I am a grown woman. I do have a career which I love. I do have a life. But is it such a bad thing to have two people have a happy ending???? Can’t they just give us a happy damn ending??????
I completely agree. As a matter fact, I stopped watching it and just read the recaps now – because I am interested in how it ends. I watched up until episode seven and then I just couldn’t take it anymore.
The fact that Sang-su didn’t listen to the recording had me want to break something.
SAME!!! I wanna know what it said even if he didn’t 😂😂
I mean, girl, this is my job, and I know all of this is made up, but here I am, being passive-aggressive in my recap articles. This drama has all of us on the edge and almost murderous! 😛
Loved your comment. I’ve just started watching this drama and will be totally pissed off if there is no happy ending! May as well stop watching it now. ;(
i guess the ending is going to be as happy as it gets!
Same here am only reading review because of how frustrated I am. Can we at least have a happy ending? That they finally say they really loved each other from the start. Am so confused as what was the scene in the hotel room or this is just an imagination of either one of them?
i think it was migyeong’s imagination. She couldn’t reach them and thats where she thought they were
I still watched though in Netflix after reading the recap
The ending was hanging. No clue if they ended up together. They meet again then just like that? What’s the point of the ending?
Personally, the ending (episode 16) really makes sense. That’s life for so many of us. Personally really enjoyed it.
There are so many questions unanswered, like why does in episode 7 or 8 idk exactly, when Sang Su and Mi-gyeong were together in her bedroom, he goes jn the living room and there is a picture on the wall with the two of them married (a picture with them at their wedding)??? Did they get married or what? And Sang Su said at one point “i love Su Yoeng but she is a b****”.” And that scene looks like it was a retrospective, like he actually in the future hates her…i dont get it
I thought the end of episode 15 would kill the potential ratings for the final episode. I wondered, “Why would they do that to advertisers?” I thought. . For some who watched the last episode, it was just as well-written as the other episodes and seemed to have an open-ended story for another season. For others, Su-yeong final words said it all. After looking back at all of his missteps (would have, could have, should haves) and hearing Sang—su’s, along with the passage of time, he said there was nothing else to say; no apologies, and unfortunately for my heart, no declarations. That is the reality of so many potential relationships. I watched thinking , “They’re going to get back together, but then again maybe there are only residual feelings to resolve..” It was a good ending but sad. Fabulous performances from all actors, wonderful cinematography, direction and writing.. This story will remain in my mind for a long time.
I agree with you. I think the ending really tied things together for them. Sometimes, some relationships just don’t end in anything. But then again, they might find their way to each other. Life is complicated, a lot could happen.

i think the wedding picture of sang su and migyeong was sangsu imagining what it would be like to be married to her.
they really could’ve done a better job of delineating a dream sequence.
This drama had me feeling a lot of stuff. Unlike most people I was glad the two main characters Did not end up together. Sorry not sorry.
The writer is a total masochist. Love hurts. I just wanted to hear the recording why didn’t they show it? I guess that will depend on the values of the viewer. They totally left it to one’s imagination. Judge all you want. Was it necessary? I think because the girl is desperate to self destruct and doesn’t care anymore. This series is dedicated to all the people who lost in romance and in love. They chose to miss the opportunity. They live a life of regret and what ifs. Ugh 😩
