The Great Indian Kapil Show Episode 3 Review
Previously, on The Great Indian Kapil Show, we had stellar cricketers Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer grace the episode. While their presence made the episode vibrant and amazing, the jokes were so lame and uncomfortable that the show needed its revival by the host himself. Sunil Grover flopped his first act and thankfully in the second act, he managed to gauge some attention and good laughter. We hoped that the next episode would at least make some changes and surprisingly it did!
Featuring the vibrant trio of Amar Singh Chamkila, Diljit Dosanjh, and Parineeti Chopra, alongside the acclaimed director Imtiaz Ali, the episode exuded a delightful blend of laughter and entertainment. Diljit Dosanjh’s playful interactions with Sunil Grover’s Dafli character added a delightful layer of humour, showcasing their impeccable comic timing and rapport. Parineeti Chopra’s infectious laughter served as the perfect complement to the comedic exchanges, creating a jovial atmosphere that resonated with viewers.

The segment featuring guessing games orchestrated by the team of Amar Singh Chamkila provided a refreshing twist, with Diljit Dosanjh’s playful attempt at cheating eliciting uproarious laughter from all corners. However, the true pinnacle of the show was Sunil Grover’s impeccable portrayal of Dafli, seamlessly transitioning between characters and bringing back beloved personas like Gutthi and Rinku Bhabhi, much to the delight of the audience.
Furthermore, the infusion of new characters by Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda injected renewed energy into the show, ensuring a constant stream of fun and frolic. Something notable took place in this episode and I believe it’s a great strategy. Compared to the previous episodes, the third one’s time duration was shorter, meaning the jokes weren’t long and the episode didn’t feel like a long watch. Rather the jokes were short and crisp, leaving the viewers wanting more.
Indeed, the episode undoubtedly delivered on the laughter front, leaving the audience yearning for more anecdotes and punchlines, it hinted at the show’s potential for further growth and refinement. In the next episode, we will be seeing the dynamic duo of Sunny and Vicky Kaushal, and it’s highly anticipated as the episode will be loaded with comedians and lots and lots of jokes. It’s nice to see Kapil Sharma bringing more charm to the show with his hosting way and ensuring the featured guests also have the vibe to carry on.
Hopefully, the show will keep progressing henceforth and not fall short of jokes, leading to repetition. Sunil Grover and other comedians are bringing up new skits and it’s nice to see the shift in the atmosphere then and now. Kudos to them for carrying out different characters and ensuring that all the audience laugh, and not just the guests.
The Great Indian Kapil Show is streaming now on Netflix.
