The Asset Ending Explained
The series opens with an agent being murdered during an undercover operation, wherein he overdosed on drugs that he was carrying inside his body. His superiors immediately think about replacing him and pick up Agent Tea, a new rookie who gets dismissed from the academy because of her difficult past. In the end, she passes the test at PET and becomes an agent and is tasked to become Miran’s wife, Ashley’s friend, and to know everything that there is to know about her.
Eventually, Tea makes her way into Ashley’s life, impressing her with her confidence and her job. She asks her to collaborate with her on Instagram, and when an excited Ashley tells Miran this, he is immediately unimpressed and unhappy, asking her not to go forward because it will attract too much attention. As Miran’s job comes under scrutiny after the agent’s death, he desperately tries to keep a low profile, but his wife’s dreams get in the way of that.

Ashley and Tea slowly get closer despite Miran’s anger, and in the end, he warns her to stay away from Ashley, which results in the latter having a fight with him and puts Tea’s place in PET on the line. However, Folke directs her to get Miran’s approval to get into Ashley’s inner circle, and, despite apprehensions, she agrees to do so in the end. The plan works flawlessly, and Miran eventually accepts Tea and agrees to let the two women meet.
However, as Tea and the team later overhear, there’s a catch – he wants to use Tea to turn his black money into white through investing in her stones and use it to get out of the country. Folke agrees to play along with his plans to learn everything that he can about his connections before nabbing him. According to the plan, Tea starts to get closer to Ashley while letting her think that she’s taking the lead.

Eventually, in a tense situation, Ashley asks Tea about the investment stones under Miran’s pressure, and Ashley refuses to get into business by betraying Folke, much to Folke’s annoyance. She promises to get this fixed, which eventually happens when she wins Ashley’s complete trust after asking her to come home and then going to Sofia’s birthday party.
Does Tea end up finishing her mission?
After Bambi is murdered in front of Tea in a shocking and sudden incident, things get more complicated as Miran gets more and more paranoid. She does get to work with Miran, and she impresses him with her knowledge about diamonds and the different rules surrounding buying and selling them. Thus, when she learns about Ashley and Sofia’s trip to Spain, she immediately realises that Miran will use his wife and child to smuggle the diamonds out of the country.

She begs Folke to stop the entire operation, but he refuses, asking her to only do what is told and not get involved further, planning on following Ashley and finding all of Miran’s partners and eventually having Ashley arrested in Malaga. However, Ashley figures out his ploy and makes a run for it that night with Sofia to Tea’s house. However, when Folke tells her to send Ashley back home, she has a lapse of faith in what they are doing.
This grows further when PET has Sofia taken from Ashley and Miran to pressurise him to make a mistake, and Tea is left distressed too. With the hope of getting Sofia back getting slimmer, Folke meets Ashley to get her to tell on Miran, and Tea tries to pressure her as well, but she remains adamant to not help them out. In the end, Tea tells Ashley the truth about who she is, effectively making Ashley angry with her and blowing her cover.
Do the police catch Miran?

While Ashley agrees to work with PET, she refuses to interact with Tea any longer for breaking her trust. Meanwhile, Folke goes through the pictures that Tea took in Miran’s office and finds out about several rentals that Miran has taken through one particular company in Bambi’s name, but they eventually ask Ashley to make Miran confess to killing Bambi’s killer, which she is able to do.
Unfortunately, Miran figures out that Ashley is lying to him and makes her confess to everything. When the police arrive at Miran’s place, he is nowhere to be found, leaving only Ashley there, while Miran meets Tea at gunpoint. She tries to convince him to confess and take the blame for everything to clear Ashley’s name so that Sofia has her mother with her, which eventually sways Miran’s resolve.

He eventually ends up giving himself up to the police to save his family and confessing to everything, giving Sofia her mother back and a chance at a normal life.
What happens to Tea?

In the aftermath, Tea is offered a chance to work at the PET, but she declines; however, she and Yasin are attacked in their car and she ends up gravely injured. Meanwhile, Ashley finds a key in one of Sofia’s toys and goes to investigate, eventually finding a storage room full of Miran’s drugs that no one has been able to find till then. Seeing an opportunity to make money and get out of her father-in-law’s grasp, Ashley gets a knowing smirk on her face.
