Rafuchakkar Episode 3 Review: Maniesh Paul’s New Avatar Sets a Fresh Fashion Statement

Rafuchakkar Episode 3 Review: The new crime drama produced by Jio Studios is directed by Ritam Srivastav and written by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartik Nishandar. The series stars Maniesh Paul as Pawan aka Prince, Priya Bapat as Ritu Arora, Aakash Dahiya as Jaidev, Chahat Vig as Preeti Gogia, and other notable actors like Sushant Singh, Pushkar Priyadarshi, Aksha Pardasany, Rishi Deshpande, etc. Each episode’s runtime is 40 minutes, and every day, an episode will air on Jio Cinema.

Rafuchakkar Plot

Disguising himself as a rich airline guy, athletic gym rat, and such, a con man who mainly targeted women to cheat and defraud money gets arrested. But due to the lack of evidence, the truth stands sealed. Will the courtroom drama prove that Pawan is the scammer and elaborate on why he committed those crimes? Or will the mastermind escape the play?

Rafuchakkar Episode 3 Recap

The second episode continues in the same courtroom where three new witnesses take the stand to explain the other disguise of Pawan that is Kirtan Ghada, aka KG. KG is a fitness trainer who makes a deal with the Kitty Club association of Ahmedabad and guarantees the women their weight loss.

Initially, Kirtan Ghada makes them vigorously train at his personal fitness studio called Fit and Fab. Almost 20 women take part and work out along with KG. From treadmills to swimming under the hot sun, the ladies are flexed enough to shed some pounds, but do they? Well not very much. While they’re trained, KG offers them special diet biscuits and herbal tea.

After some days, the women are shown picture slides of each woman’s before and after picture. Despite the pictures being edited, the women believe it. KG explains that for further weight loss, each woman should pay 5 lakhs and enrol in his scheme. The brilliant women abide and pay the money. He gives them 3 days break, and once the leisure time ends, the women realise that KG was a conman who used someone’s gym as his and swindled their money.

Now, at the beginning of the episode, we find Pawan opening a Tyre shop by taking a 10 lakhs loan. Likewise, his future father-in-law also gets caught in a loan issue causing him to collapse. Since Pawan has to sort out both his father-in-law and his loan problems, he could have become a con artist. Yet, we’re still unsure whether Pawan is the bad guy (let’s be honest. Obviously, we know Maniesh Paul is the one who is acting as every character).

In the courtroom, the prosecutor states all her facts regarding KG (that is, Pawan). Meanwhile, we also get a glimpse of how the cop found out about Pawan. While investigating the biscuit factory from where KG took the biscuits to manipulate them into a diet product, the cop inquires Pawan. During the interrogation, Pawan becomes anxious and rubs his thumb, which increases the cop’s suspicion because, as per the report of the parliament member, the previous character of the con man that is Ajay Chauhan, had the habit of rubbing his thumb.

Rafuchakkar Episode 3 Review

Compared to the previous two episodes, the recent one was quite a catch. The reason why is definitely the new avatar that is Kirtan Ghada. The previous character Ajay Chauhan might have dressed impressively, but the XXL nose makeup gave me the ick. Why did they do Maniesh Paul dirty? Thankfully, KG’s character looked a tad bit sexy with the salt and pepper hair and a pumped-up chest.

Maniesh Paul was under heat for the body transformations that he underwent for this one series. Obviously, he took steroids which isn’t a good way to pump up muscles. Thus while watching Manish’s flawless body as KG, one can’t help but think of the sacrifices he made. Hopefully, he won’t do it again.

The cinematography of this episode was alright because not many places were shown. A gym, a pool, an old factory, the same courtroom, and Pawan’s tire house were only the places that had importance in the episode. So there isn’t anything special to applaud about. The dialogues are again a drag. I don’t understand why the prosecutor uses theories inside a courtroom. Good that the honourable judge was given a dialogue where he asks her to stop the theories and cut to the chase. Kudos for that, writers.

Final Thoughts

Episode 3 is simply a continuation that offers the viewers another character. We’re still unsure of what happened to Ajay Chauhan’s story. Perhaps in the following episodes, everything will untie slowly. This episode went by faster and had a good flow, so compared to the previous episodes, the third episode felt far better.
