Psycho Saiyaan Review
Because watching desperate and obsessive men lusting over a woman has become some sort of a norm in today’s day and age, Psycho Saiyaan arrives on our screens to bring to us two men fighting over Charulata, both equally creepy and disturbing in their own ways, and the women coming out the other end looking like complete nutjobs to add to the craziness.
The point of the series is that love makes you do crazy things and makes you act in ways you would never expect to. However, in this thriller, it feels like every character is thoroughly morally bankrupt and leaves us to question who to root for, as everyone leaves a sour taste in our mouths. Every character in the series is creepy in their own right, and none make you feel comfortable in any way.

The storyline hardly makes any sense. It’s as if anything one can imagine can just happen in real life, and anything and everything is possible if you can just conjure it in your head. It’s maddening to watch the sheer inconsistencies, and as the episodes progress, things just get worse and more unbelievable. There’s no rhyme or reason to anything happening, and add to that the creepy behaviour of the characters, it’s just an uncomfortable watch to sit through.
The series wants us to believe that Kartik’s love is noble and passionate, but you don’t see that at any point. Anud Singh Dhaka plays Kartik with passion, and the performances are great in that regard. Tejasswi Prakash is great, as is Ravi Kishan. However, none of these characters offers anything new in the realm of romantic thrillers. Everyone operates in the same old creepy way that we have been seeing since Raanjhanaa. In 2026, these characters aren’t considered romantic or even thrilling; it’s just the same old tired tropes.

However, the biggest and most hilarious sin is the last episode, where logic goes out the window completely. While you watch things go down in episode 4, you start to wonder what else is to be shown. Nothing can prepare you for the insanity that is episode 6, where nothing ever makes sense, and it’s just slop for the sake of being slop. It’s clear that the creators simply wanted to push as much drama as possible in the storyline to keep viewers invested. That, though, never happens.
There could’ve been merit in the storyline as it deals with themes involving possessive love, trauma and psychological instability. It could’ve been a dramatic but thought-provoking watch. However, what we get hardly makes sense, and you wonder where you are supposed to focus in this mess of a show.
Final Thoughts

Psycho Saiyaan is confusing and annoying, and things just happen for no rhyme or reason. It’s predictable, and the glaring tropes stand out in such an obvious manner that viewers will find themselves completely astonished that they are being subjected to this sheer stupidity. In the end, the series misses out on capitalising on some important discussion points and, instead, chooses to focus on rather mundane and stupid drama that doesn’t even make sense.
