King the Land Overview
King the Land (킹더랜드) is a rom-com Kdrama that brings the story of an heir and an employee who works at one of the hotels owned by his family. Directed by Im Hyun-wook, the drama stars Lee Jun-ho, Lim Yoon-a (Yoona), Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won, alongside other cast members.
The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.
Lee Jun-ho was last seen on The Red Sleeve as Yi San / King Jeongjo, while Yoona played audience-favourite Go Mi-ho in 2022’s hugely popular Big Mouth. King the Land takes over the jTBC’s Saturday-Sunday 22:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Doctor Cha.

The rather-cold starting to Won and Sa-rang’s relationship results in an awkward work environment between the two as well. As Sa-rang tries to avoid her newly appointed manager, circumstances refuse to leave them alone. However, in spite of assuring himself that she isn’t his type, things soon start to turn romantic from Won’s side.

An enthusiastic Sa-rang starts her dream job at King Hotels where, due to her lack of knowledge, she starts off on the wrong foot with one of the hotel’s possible future heirs, Won. He, on the other hand, battles the demons that lurk in his past while simultaneously slowly getting embroiled in an inheritance war with his aunt. The two’s rather awkward meeting, however, might just give birth to something wonderful soon!
