Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 23 Ending Explained
What are Kenjaku’s plans for the jujutsu world?
In the finale episode, Yuki Tsukumo confronts Kenjaku in a climactic encounter that unveils a stark clash of ideologies regarding humanity’s relationship with cursed energy and its evolutionary trajectory. Kenjaku, holding a conviction distinct from Yuki’s, posits that the true potential of cursed energy lies not just within jujutsu sorcerers and cursed spirits but within humanity itself.
His initial endeavour, the creation of the Cursed Womb: Death Paintings, taught him a crucial lesson that there are limits to his own creations. Recognizing that something of his own making cannot surpass his inherent potential, Kenjaku deems it necessary to sow uncontrollable chaos, believing that within the ensuing disorder lies the obscured answer he seeks.

Utilizing Cursed Spirit Manipulation, Kenjaku extracts Mahito’s cursed technique and employs it remotely to enact Idle Transfiguration. This results in the activation of two distinct categories of non-sorcerers he had marked. The first category includes individuals who ingested cursed objects, mirroring the circumstances of Yuji Itadori. The second category comprises individuals whose brains, initially designated as non-sorcerers, gained cursed techniques, such as Junpei Yoshino.
Both groups undergo brain modifications for jujutsu, with the former becoming vessels for sorcerers from bygone eras and the latter acquiring the ability to wield cursed techniques as contemporary sorcerers. This intricate manipulation of cursed energy sets the stage for a complex and gripping narrative unfolding.

Kenjaku also proceeds to unseal all the cursed objects that the vessels had ingested. Among those marked, some have remained in a profound slumber since their initial exposure to his cursed energy, but they are now poised to awaken. Among the marked ones is Tsumiki, who has awakened from her deep sleep, which puts her in danger.
