Reyansh is the real MVP of this thriller series, where he constantly guilts his family into getting his way. Although he annoyingly speaks about himself in the third person (hi Fanaa), the way he gets his way around things honestly made up for the little humour in the series, and for audiences, it’s going to leave you in splits.

Moving on from the mischievous kid character, Srijit Mukherji’s series is gripping from the first episode. Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke plays with the single mother who does it all trope, albeit this time around, Kavya isn’t all that good at balancing the different facets of her life. It’s a realistic portrayal, and thanks to her mother’s help, she has her son staying with her, who is well taken care of.

The series very nicely balances these different aspects of her psyche as she constantly faces one challenge after another in her professional and personal lives. The pace sometimes goes up and down throughout the runtime, but it’s mostly arresting, and Kavya’s strong personality makes you want to follow her and hope she comes out shining from within the dark tunnel.

Although we get to see early on who the bad guys are, why they are doing what they are doing remains a mystery for quite the runtime. It works in favour of the show that Kavya also doesn’t know who might be underneath it all, and the process that they go through to uncover the mystery is quite interesting.

On top of that, there is Kavya’s family drama. Although her marriage is, unfortunately, falling apart, it’s interesting to note that no one is really a bad person in her household. Even her soon-to-be ex-husband is a nice guy, and interestingly, people just grow apart sometimes. The best part about this facet of her life, however, is her mother, who is constantly a support for her daughter in her worst of times, and their interactions will leave a smile on your face.

Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke is not a complicated series; honestly, it’s quite an easy and expected watch. However, the creators have framed the different strings intricately and carefully and thus, although it’s not exceptional, it’s an interesting watch in all aspects. And honestly, as a chilled-out thriller, it is great.

Summing Up: Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke

Jaanbaaz Hindustan Ke is a fun and interesting little thriller about familiar topics. Yet, the way the creators have presented the storyline makes it fresh; plus, an emotional backstory gives us more reason to follow our protagonist on her way to save the nation from the hands of terrorists.
