First Lady Episode 10 Review: A Thrilling and Meldoramatic Watch That Keeps You Hooked!

In the last episode, Hwa-jin’s shocking confession left everyone shocked and brought many questions to Min-cheol’s mind, especially when he came across a video showcasing someone running over Soon-jeong, and it looked surprisingly like his wife.

First Lady episode 10 has a runtime of 64 minutes.

First Lady Episode 10 Recap

The episode opens with Hoon inviting the Party For Peace and Freedom members to a meal to hopefully bully and manipulate them on his side once again. Elsewhere, Su-yeon meets Hwa-jin and agrees to the paternity test, but the former is wary of her intentions, wondering whether she had planned this all along. Just as she’s about to agree to the paternity test, Hoon calls and informs Hwa-jin not to agree to the test because Su-yeon is the one who killed her mother.

Later that day, Min-cheol meets Ki-ju and has a heart-to-heart with him about the election, the Special Act and the weight of his ambition. Meanwhile, Su-yeon is called to the police station about her involvement in Soon-jeong’s hit-and-run case. With a ton of evidence to prove her involvement, there’s not a lot of room for her to wiggle out. Meanwhile, Hoon tries to sway Hwa-jin’s mind by reminding her that she had committed something heinous for which her mother went to prison.

Now trapped in his web, he threatens to expose her if she doesn’t do an interview with him to take Su-yeon down. Meanwhile, Min-ju gets the news of Su-yeon’s hit-and-run accusation while speaking to Hae-rin, who asks her for a favour. At the station, Su-yeon confronts Seon-ho and tells him that she won’t bring up his betrayal if he stops Hyun-sook from coming to the station. As Min-cheol rushes to her side, the news producer asks Hwa-jin for another interview to take Su-yeon and everyone associated with her down.

In a surprising twist, we learn that the producer had come across information that Eom Min-jeong had died during the accident and that Lee Hwa-jin might be lying about who she is to the entire nation. He is now working with Hoon to take Min-cheol and Su-yeon down and is using Hwa-jin for that purpose.

Things get emotional as Hyun-sook tries desperately to go to the station in Su-yeon’s place, and Seon-ho does so after much begging. Unfortunately, on the way, they are run over by a truck sent by Hoon, leaving them terribly injured. As it turns out, it’s one of Su-yeon’s men who ratted them out and left everyone with a huge mess.

At the station, meanwhile, as Min-cheol is getting grilled by the media, Hae-rin comes to his rescue and declares in front of everyone that she is the culprit – she killed Eom Soon-jeong.

First Lady Episode 10 Review

A Thrilling set of twists leaves us rather on edge with First Lady this week as things get more and more complex. Hwa-jin’s past is one big black hole that keeps on sucking melodrama like its existence depends on it, and we are left to wonder where this madness stops. Meanwhile, Su-yeon isn’t any different – we like her, we are disappointed with her, and the varied range of feelings never seems to stop at any point. In the end, I loved this episode; it’s so melodramatic and extra, with as many crazy twists as possible, that you are never left bored at any point. Confused… maybe. But never bored for a minute.
