Ms Incognito Episode 10 Recap

The episode opens with a heartbroken Yeong-ran in her room after the emotional events of the last episode, and she is comforted by Byul-nae. The next morning, she is taken to the police station by the police, leaving everyone surprised, especially with Don nowhere to be found. Thankfully, Don gets out of being kidnapped and makes a run for Yeong-ran, while the latter realises that the man who is now working with Seon-yeong is none other than her mother’s abusive boyfriend.

The police try to pin the blame on Yeong-ran, but she’s steely and doesn’t let anything affect her. She confronts Gyo-bong and brings a recording of her mother confessing to hiring him to backstab Yeong-ran, leaving them all surprised. She can leave the station after submitting the evidence, while Seon-woo, in a bind and with no way out, wonders whether or not he should meet Yeong-ran. Elsewhere, Dong-min finds a connection between Seon-yeong and Ho-se.

As Seon-woo gets in touch with Yeong-ran and asks her to meet him that night, Dong-min learns about Ho-se’s past and goes to investigate Seon-yeong deeper. Meanwhile, the latter commands Ho-se to murder Seon-woo, who promptly arrives at the dock in his search, followed closely by Dong-min. He immediately tells Don about his suspicions, and they both realise that something is going to go down at the port.

As Seon-woo and Yeong-ran meet and make the exchange, he is shot by Ho-se. She makes a run for it and eventually injures him, but note before he destroys the evidence. In the end, he forces her to pull the trigger on him as well. With the police closing in, Dong-min sacrifices himself to save Yeong-ran and Don, and she promises to save him in the end.

After she comes home, she gets a call from Seon-yeong, clearly baiting her by threatening Dong-min and Ju-won. She, of course, takes the bait and walks right into a trap, wherein she tells Yeong-ran to either kill herself or risk losing Dong-min and Ju-won. Stuck between a rock and a hard place, she decides to end her life, but just then… Ga Sung-ho walks in and stops her.

Ok, so Ms Incognito episode 10 definitely had some surprising moments, especially with that last reveal, but the series has become a bit comical and improbable at this point, and the sheer incapability of the antagonist to get rid of an incompetent protagonist is getting to me at every turn. I can’t overcome my frustration with Yeong-ran as a character; she is so terrible that it makes me scream. However, I am waiting to see how the series ends next week.

  1. Yup totally agree. What started off as a promising series has become so lackluster due to the incompetence of the protagonist. So annoying

  2. I totally agree. Yeong-ran character becomes so pathetic that she can’t think straight. When she ran to meet the professor, there are so many things I can think of that she can do, like live broadcast. She is also so weak, whatever happened to her determination at the beginning, can’t even say boo to her mother and let her mother walked all over her. So disappointing. Oh and the hilarious thing, she could have picked up that USB before running for cover, after all didn’t she risk everything to get that USB? What a stupid woman!
