Walking on Thin Ice Episode 10 Recap

The episode opens with Jun-hyun thinking back to fond memories with his brother and how Dong-hyun was ready to give up this life for the sake of a better and cleaner living. With him taken away from him, he seeks revenge, and Gyeong-do follows the hospital CCTV footage to track him. Meanwhile, Eun-soo meets Hwi-rim while Kyeong oversees Do-jin finding Eun-soo’s drugs and stops him from destroying the very expensive stuff.

Several things happen together – Su-a is abducted by Jun-hyun, Kyeong and Do-jin get into a verbal altercation, and Hwi-rim promises to let her leave with all of the money if she gives him information on James’s real identity. In the aftermath of his altercation, he starts to cough up blood, while he gets a call from Su-a begging him to save her. Kyeong overhears her but chooses to run away with the drugs. Desperate, she tries to send her location, but Jun-hyun catches her after taking the drugs.

Thankfully, Gyeong-do is at least good at his job and, with Kyeong’s arrival, Su-a turns out safe. At Hwi-rim’s, Eun-soo refuses to give up Kyeong, and the former tries to intimidate her. But fails. When she comes out of his house, she is heartbroken to learn about Su-a’s ordeal and immediately rushes to the police station to find her. There, she is surprised to find Kyeong and Tae-gu as well.

It’s here that the truth comes out: Kyeong unknowingly hired Su-a, who desperately wanted a job, to deliver the drugs which Eun-soo packaged in a shocking and heartbreaking turn of events. With no other options, Eun-soo tries to talk to Tae-gu privately, while Kyeong is let go. But before he leaves, Tae-gu threatens him to take a stand if he doesn’t want to end up like his partner.

As a last-ditch effort, Kyeong tries to attack him, but he figures it out and hits him mercilessly, revealing that he had installed malware on Eun-soo’s phone.

What a thrilling episode this has been, and it has me completely hooked. I was consistently on the edge of my seat as things just went from bad to worse, and with Do-jin making me irrationally angry at every turn, I couldn’t help but scream at the screen. Walking on Thin Ice has been a real pleasure to watch, and I hope the series ends equally well and leaves us thinking about it years after!
