Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 7 Recap

The episode opens with Elfaria being awakened by her aide, who informs her of a promising new talent named Julius, someone they believe would be an ideal successor. Elfaria, however, dismisses the notion of needing a successor, stating she only seeks a lone sword to serve her purpose.

Meanwhile, in the arena, Will is having a hard time against Julius and his multitude of doppelgangers, each of which can wield magic just as effectively as the original. These aren’t mere shadows but fully capable replicas that can cause just as much damage as the real Julius. The magic they’re using has a deep connection to Will, as it’s one of the twelve spells that Elfaria herself created.

As Julius unleashes his spell, he arrogantly begins mocking Elfaria, bragging about how easily he’s able to replicate the magic that someone of her calibre invented. He implies that Elfaria isn’t as talented as she’s reputed to be and that his abilities are simply unmatched. Will, enraged by these insults, charges at Julius, only to be overwhelmed by the relentless assault of his magic.

Despite his battered state, Will rises once again, regaining his composure. He calmly critiques Julius, pointing out the flaws in his version of Elfaria’s spell. It soon becomes apparent that Julius lacks full control over the magic and relies on the strength of his comrades to maintain the doppelgangers. Will also reveals that Elfaria invented this spell when she was only two years old, making it clear that Julius has no place comparing himself to someone of her immense talent.

In the next episode, we might see Will making Julius say sorry to the dwarves for insulting them. He might also get scouted as he was able to showcase extraordinary sword skills. Hopefully, with this, he will be closer to his goal of reaching Elfaria.
