Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 10 Recap

This episode delves deeper into the lives of the top students, who are often seen as having it all. The leading four at Rigarden Academy, destined to graduate with top marks, might seem free of worries, but is their success truly enough for them? Both Wignall and Lihanna share their perspectives, revealing that their paths have been far less smooth than expected.
Through their conversations, we learn that in their families, true genius is measured by the exceptional talent displayed from a young age. Elfaria, for example, who was permitted to ascend the tower in her first year, is hailed as a prodigy. As a result, achieving high ranks at school holds little significance to many of the higher-ups. This explains why, despite earning respect from their peers, Wignall and Lihanna are still seen as disappointments within their families.
Here we also explore the parallels between Wignall and Will, particularly in their ambitions. Both seek to climb the tower, not for personal gain, but to reunite with important people in their lives—Will with his lover and Wignall with his foster sister. Their shared goals foster mutual respect and a deeper understanding between them.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 11 Review And Recap

In this episode, we see one of the biggest and most terrifying battles where the protagonist almost succumbs to a terrifying fate. Previously, the new villains that arrive in front of Colette and Lihanna waste no time in attacking them with the intent of killing them. Thankfully, before any damage could occur, Will and others joined Lihanna and Colette, saving them. However, the assailants do not leave before they unleash a terrifying monster, the Duke, upon our heroes.
It is a beast with a credit value of 270, and this alone proves just how formidable their new target is. From the get-go, each and everyone in the group realises how gravely outclassed they are in front of this monster. They do not bear the false hope of defeating the beast and just run away from the scenario. Wignall tries to act as bait so that he can give his friends the time to escape, but Will again saves him. This is where they are made to come to a terrifying realisation, the fact that there is nowhere to run.

The teachers cannot come to this level because there are too many monsters in here, and Will and others also cannot escape as the beast is actively looking for them. This is where Will puts forward his plan, which is reckless and absolutely dangerous. But surprisingly, Wignall is the 1st to agree to it. He comes forward, claiming Will as his friend and puts his faith in him without a second of doubt. Not only him, but Colette and Shion as well agree to follow Will. Lihanna goes as far as agreeing to make Will their leader, while Julius is still not convinced of Will’s talent.
However, they do not have any other option other than to have complete faith in Will and his leadership because he’s the one who has the most experience in a dungeon. What follows is an intense and beautifully animated battle that you should check out.

Verdict
Today’s episode was again a visual masterpiece, as the animation has been consistently good. Even though the plot might not have too many complexities, it still manages to put forward a cohesive storyline that is entertaining enough.
