Volume 2 was also a phase of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik passing by their youth into an age where they lived for their beloved children as saw a new stage of life setting in. The two finally saw better days in life, with Ae-sun achieving her long-held dream while Gwan-sik too became the “first lady” as he wished to be. Choi Baek-ho beautifully sings out the song filled with hopes, dreams, and a wish for better days.

While this song is also a part of Chapter 1 and sung by d.ear, we had to bring in IU’s version of the song because of our love for Ae-sun. This long filled with nostalgia, love, and an everlasting companionship is filled with the feelings between Ae-sun and Gwan-sik, and also the painful longing between Geum-myeong and Yeong-beom. The different fairytales and love are beautifully seen through this song which is able to connect with both Ae-sun and Geum-myeong in ways we couldn’t have seen coming.
My Love by My Side by Issac Hong
The pain of an incomplete first love is brought to us by Issac Hong, whose mesmerizing voice captures the pain, beauty, and nostalgia of this love. Like an ode to our incomplete love, this song takes us back to some beautiful memories while also pulling you back to reality that also brings tears to our eyes. Geum-myeong’s first love may have been incomplete, but it was beautiful just like this song.
Moutain Boy’s Love Story by IU and Park Bo-gum
There is no way we are ending this list without this performance by our beloved couple who brought to us the beautiful love story of a mountain boy who fell in love with a mountain girl and brought to us weeks of love, nostalgia, and heartwarming feelings that are still hard to get over.
