Bringing us the best series on Netflix, this show has been winning our hearts right from the start with lessons so beautiful that we cannot stop relating to them all. Now, as the show moves to its finale, we bring our final expectations for the upcoming episodes.
When Life Gives You Tangerines (폭싹 속았수다) follows a rebellious girl with a dream and a boy ready to give him all to fulfil her wishes. A story of endless love, this show takes us to the 1950s. Directed by Kim Won-suk, the drama stars IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Chun-moo, and other cast members.
The finale is right in front of us and we are certainly holding quite some expectations in the upcoming episodes which will bring an end to this beloved Kdrama. From more scenes of Park Bo-gum to seeing Ae-sun and Gwan-sik enter the next stage of their lives, these episodes are sure to have us crying buckets full of tears; also hinting at a separation which we can see coming because of the beginning of episode 1. When Life Gives You Tangerines Finale Predictions!
Geum-myeong’s Wedding
We have to begin with the most-anticipated scene of the latter half of this Kdrama- Geum-myeong’s wedding. The scene was teased in the second week of the show and while we expected it to happen in Volume 3, it looks like it was meant for the grand finale- Volume 4. Despite our love for Yeong-beom, we are unfortunately not getting a wedding with him in the picture because there is someone else more special waiting for our beloved Geum-myeong. While our hearts broke for Yeong-beom, we couldn’t deny the satisfaction that came when Ae-sun and Gwan-sik’s daughter flipped the table and didn’t let anyone step on her.
Now, we are finally getting her wedding and from how things turned out in Volume 3, we know we have a name- Park Cheong-seop. But this wedding isn’t going to go without any drama so get ready for another rollercoaster ride as Geum-myeong prepares to get married.
Eun-myeong’s Family
Volume 3 also gives us a sneak into Eun-myeong’s upcoming chaos as he prepares to become a parent with Hyeon-suk. Once again, there is more drama awaiting us as this show prepares to give us one of the best Romance Kdramas vibes with the many love stories playing out. While the similarities between Eun-myeong’s and Gwan-sik’s love story are many, Bu Sang-gil isn’t one to let things go easy for Eun-myeong as he takes things one step further by involving the law. There is a lot of chaos awaiting this couple but we know that despite the resistance of their parents, they are going to make it through it all.
The Old Couple- Ae-sun and Gwan-sik
As time passes, we are also going to see our beloved Ae-sun and Gwan-sik get older with things getting more peaceful. Unfortunately, it won’t always be peaceful as they now enter a time when they have to listen to their children and do things according to them. While it is sure to be another challenge for the couple, their love and companionship are sure to get them through this period as well, as they walk through another phase of life together. Their moment together is surely going to make us cry again and we may see a more extended scene in the hospital when Ae-sun tells Geum-myeong how her father has carried the burden of their son’s death all this time.
An Inevitable Separation
Ae-sun and Gwan-sik have been at the center of this show and let us agree, it is this couple that made this one of the Top Korean dramas at the moment. However, an inevitable separation is meant to happen and with Ae-sun having a heavier leverage, she will have to carry the burden of loneliness if the writers decide to take this particular route. While we hope for them to not leave each other alone and say goodbye to the world together, we never know how to show will break our hearts. So be prepared for the worst while hoping it doesn’t happen.
Spring that Follows a Dreaded Winter
Finally, the show might also attack us with its ending scene by bringing us back to the start. The flower field is filled with the colour Yellow might become our final scene where our beloved couple meets again in a place beyond; adding to the heartbreak that we are set to face in the upcoming episodes. Sure, we asked for more scenes of Park Bo-gum, but this isn’t what we meant (I would take it anyway). Meanwhile, I truly hope we get some more of Park Bo-gum as Gwan-sik because we haven’t had enough of seeing him in this role.
