While the K-pop groups as a whole may be on an extended hiatus, we still have quite a few upcoming BTS projects lined up one after the other. From solo debut, to fan-meetings, documentaries releasing in theatres, movie soundtracks, and a memoir book releasing soon, the South Korean septet doesn’t have the word “rest” in its dictionary. Although Jin and J-hope are away for their respective military stints, the other group members have no plans of slowing down.
One of the most warming schedules keeping the light on in the BTS tower right now is the OT7 track The Planet which is to be featured in the animated film Bastions. The septet’s fans have been won over again after hearing all seven members’ voices together after a long time. Although this feat has reeled in pure emotions in the fandom at the moment, more excitement is brewing ahead with even more spectacular projects and schedules coming up in the next few months.

This isn’t a conclusive list of all their schedules. More updates will be listed below once they’re officially announced.
Upcoming BTS Projects You Should Mark on Your Calendars
A) Beyond the Story: 10 Year Record of BTS
Charting the 10 year record of the global phenomenon, The BTS memoir written by journalist Myeongseok Kang will chronicle the oral history of the beloved K-pop boy group and its members. The book has been translated to English by Anton Hur, Clare Richards and Slin Jung, and is reportedly 544 pages long and is set to release on July 9, 2023, which also marks the 10th anniversary of the group’s fan base, celebrated as the BTS ARMY day.
B) BTS SOLO DOCUMENTARIES IN THEATRES
J-hope in the Box
Originally released direct to streaming platforms Weverse and Disney+ on February 17, 2023, the BTS dance leader’s solo documentary is now also premiering in cinemas worldwide from June 17, 2023 for a limited time.
SUGA: Road to D-Day
Suga’s solo documentary came out on the same aforementioned streaming platforms on April 21, 2023, and it will be releasing in cinemas for a short period of time as well from June 17, 2023.
C) BTS Youth Drama Series
Though the series won’t actually feature the group members, the drama will be centred around the same Bangtan Universe storyline that has been mapped throughout the Save Me webtoon, The Most Beautiful Moment in Life album trilogy, also known as the Youth trilogy or HYYH trilogy, BTS Universe Story and The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: The Notes books.
While the series was originally supposed to come out in the second half of 2020, it constantly faced some production issues and kept on being delayed repeatedly. After not hearing anything about the show for so long, the very first teaser of the upcoming drama series was revealed at the recently held Korea Expo in Paris, which hints at the premiere date being closer than we expected. (Release date: Yet to be announced)
D) BTS SOLO ACTIVITIES
1. RM aka Kim Namjoon’s Solo Fashion Magazine Cover
The septet’s leader will be fronting the June 2023 edition of the high-end fashion magazine.
2. Jungkook’s Solo Debut Plans
The Dreamers and Left and Right (collaboration with Charlie Puth) singer is speculated to release solo music this year. He’s already recorded groundbreaking feats with the aforementioned hits despite now yet having made his official debut with his first album. However, the BTS ARMY is quick at picking hints, and they recently joined the dots of his possible future collaboration with One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. Fans have conflated Jungkook’s recent surprise visit to LA being followed up by Tedder posting a picture on his Instagram and tagging BTS producer Pdogg and BIGHIT MUSIC’s founder Bang PD aka Bang Si-hyuk as leading up to one final event – his solo debut.
While nothing has been confirmed yet, we can only grasp at crumbs and feel an inkling of satisfaction before the official announcement hits us like a wrecking ball.
He also released his previous solo Digital singles – Still With You and My You on Spotify in lieu of his official solo debut with the upcoming single SEVEN, dropping on all music platforms (with physical CD sales as well) on July 14, 2023.
3. Taehyung’s Solo Debut Plans
On being appointed as the brand ambassador of an app owned by an Indonesian corporation, Kim Taehyung aka V will be holding his first solo fan-meet, which will allows only 80 lucky fans to personally meet him. The event will be held on June 11, 2023. He’s also repeatedly teased his upcoming solo musical release (reportedly coming out in this year’s third quarter) on his social media platforms, and so, a solo album release is imminent in the coming future. He’s recently wrapped up his last solo activity on being featured on Prime Video’s Korean street food show Jinny’s Kitchen with his fellow Wooga squad members, Park Seo-joon and Choi Woo-shik.
4. More Suchwita Episodes?
The Suchwita schedule seems implausible for the time being since the host himself is out wooing the globe on his world tour. Looks like we’ll have to make do with the recent-most episode for now, i.e. Episode 10 with SEVENTEEN’s Woozi.
(EDITED) Suchwita Episode 11 With Lee Na-young Coming Out on May 22, 2023
Suchwita Episode 12 With Jin
5. Suga’s Ongoing Agust D Tour
The Suga Agust D tour commenced on April 26 with the American leg. May 26 onwards, the second leg of the tour will kick off in Asian locations like Tangerang Regency in Indonesia, Yokohama in Japan, Bangkok in Thailand, Singapore and it will run its course in the artist’s home country South Korea on June 25, 2023.
6. Jimin’s Fast X Soundtrack
On May 9, a surprise announcement revealed that Park Jimin is set to collaborate with Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE and Muni Long for the Fast X soundtrack Angel Pt 1. The 2023 American action film stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Jason Momoa, John Cena and others. While the movie is slated to receive a theatrical release on May 19 in the United States, Jimin’s song will come out a day prior to that on May 18, 2023.
7. Blue Room With RM
E) BTS FESTA 2023 – 10th Anniversary Celebration
