Under the Banner of Heaven Episode 5 is the upcoming episode in Hulu’s latest true-crime drama series. Based on the nonfiction book of the same name by Jon Krakauer, the story is adapted into a screenplay for television by Dustin Lance Black and directed by David Mackenzie. Andrew Garfield plays Detective Jeb Pyre in the series along with Sam Worthington as Ron Lafferty, Daisy Edgar-Jones as Brenda Lafferty, Denise Gough as Dianna Lafferty, Wyatt Russell as Dan Lafferty, Billy Howle as Allen Lafferty, Chloe Pirrie as Matilda Lafferty, Seth Numrich as Robin Lafferty, Adelaide Clemens as Rebecca Pyre, Rory Culkin as Samuel Lafferty, Sandra Seacat as Josie Pyre and Gil Birmingham as Detective Bill Taba.
In the fourth episode of Under the Banner of Heaven, things got darker than expected. We did not only see Jeb’s curious mind being opposed by the Church’s influence but, also how Dan and Ron had intertwined thoughts when it came to FLDs. We see how the two brothers led others to think and conceive the old ideas and past of Mormonism in their present and, Brenda’s opposition influenced their wives to take a stand.
Under the Banner of Heaven Episode 5: What Happens Next?
In the preview for Under the Banner of Heaven Episode 5, we see Jeb seeking answers from an old couple, it is unsure what is the discussion but, but we can assume it is surrounding Brenda. As for the other wives- Dianne visibly looks like a victim of Ron’s domestic violence and, Matilda is seen threatened by Dan to death.

The preview trailer description reads: “With evidence now pointing squarely toward fundamentalist Mormonism, Pyre (Andrew Garfield) turns to LDS Church leaders for guidance but is met with roadblocks. Undeterred, he discovers a list of names Brenda’s killers plan to murder next.”

Under the Banner of Heaven Episode 5 is scheduled to release on May 19, 2022, on Hulu and Disney+ Hotstar. The episode is titled ‘One Mighty and Strong’.
