Twelve Episode 3 Recap
The episode opens with Tae-san and Bang-wool rushing to the others’ aid when they finally see their amulets glowing. Meanwhile, the others fight for their lives, but things slowly turn against them as they find themselves overpowered. Ma-rok arrives just then to help them out and immediately stops them in their tracks. When they suddenly disappear, though, Ma-rok realises that it must be Sa-min’s ill-deeds.
Either way, the angels go back home to nurse themselves back to health after a tiresome and dangerous night. After Bang-wool gives them the thumbs up, Mirr decides to go back home, much to the others’ disappointment. Later, Kang-ji and Tae-san get into an argument, and it gets surprisingly heated after Tae-san refuses to protect the humans from the spirits. Kang-ji gets annoyed and tells him that she is okay with dying if it means that she gets to fulfil her duty. In the end, Kang-ji asks Tae-san to protect them so that they can protect the humans, leaving him frustrated.

Later, Ma-rok tells Won-seung to take up the role of leader of the group and replace Tae-san, and he can’t help but fear the immense burden on his shoulders! Elsewhere, Tae-san reminisces about losing their colleagues in the battle years ago, and Ma-rok tells him that it’s Sa-min who awakened the spirits. However, Tae-san still tells Ma-rok to keep the others out of this mess since they don’t have the power to fight against them.
The next morning, Tae-san gives Geum-soon a large sum of cash and asks her to get out of the country for a few days to stay safe, while Won-seung takes the reins according to Ma-rok’s instructions and goes on a little excursion to spot the evil spirits behind everyone’s backs. Meanwhile, the others help out at an orphanage, where Mirr gets a premonition of everyone dying while Tae-san, with his arms aflame, tries to protect them against something or someone.

That night, with one Soul Stone in his possession, Sa-min assures O-gwi that retrieving all the stones will result in him getting Hae-tae’s powers, which makes him extremely happy.
Twelve Episode 3 Review
With only 8 episodes to cover so many characters and their backstories and whatnot, Twelve seems to be taking its sweet time getting to the point! In such cases, either one of two things happens – we either get a rushed ending or a half-baked story that simply doesn’t make sense. I don’t know what route the series is taking, but whatever it is, I can’t help but be extremely annoyed at this point because literally nothing of note happens in episode 3; it’s completely filled with fluff. What a disappointing direction Twelve is taking; it’s almost baffling.
Like, I am so shocked that the principal villain has literally nothing to do in episode 3 other than looking mildly annoyed throughout. The pace is so slow, and there’s hardly any progression happening with the plot that will make you take an interest! Let’s see what the next episode brings.
