Tower of God Season 2 Episode 4 Recap
This episode was a rollercoaster of emotions, filled with betrayals and unexpected redemptions. Prince faces a harsh betrayal by his subordinate, Kim Lurker, who was supposed to protect him. Instead, Kim manipulates his new recruits and brainwashes Yeon into fighting for him.
Nya also turns against Wangnan and sides with Kim, but his betrayal is driven by a tragic backstory. Nya was once cared for by an old lady who later fell into debt with Lurker Cash, forcing Nya to become Kim’s pawn to protect her. However, Kim ultimately betrays Nya, viciously attacking him.

Rapdevil also switches sides, betraying Prince and attempting to kill him to secure the rooms needed for ascension alongside Kim. Everything unravels, leaving Wangnan crushed by the reality of not being able to climb the tower and mourning Nya’s death. In a desperate move, Wangnan decides that if he’s going to fail, he’d rather team up with Viole than let evil triumph. He pleads for Viole’s help during his battle with Love, and surprisingly, Viole agrees.
The episode takes a darker turn as it confronts the harsh truths of the tower. Wangnan questions Love about the true purpose of climbing the tower: does it really exist to fulfil dreams, or is it merely a mechanism to crush hopes? Towards the end, we see Wangnan’s team winning the exam.
