Tower of God Season 2 Episode 2 Recap
Ja Wangnan and his team find themselves on the 20th level, where the next test awaits. The atmosphere is tense as they prepare to face the unknown. The test proctor, a mysterious figure, reveals that this challenge involves physical strengthening using a Shinsu measuring instrument. Regulars must push their limits and demonstrate their abilities.

The episode also introduces intriguing new characters. Nya Nia, a former delivery boy, stands out with his street-smart demeanour and hidden talents. Yeon Yihwa, a powerful regular from the prestigious Yeon family, adds an element of fire to the mix.
Most surprising was Viole, a member of FUG with a dark past. His Shinsu score surpasses all expectations, crossing the 100,000-point mark. The regulars are left in awe and curiosity.
As the winner of the test, Viole gains a unique privilege: choosing the next 7 members for his team. However, he surprises everyone by rejecting all candidates. His standards are high, and he seeks individuals who can match his strength and determination. The tension builds as regulars vie for a spot on Viole’s team.
Tower of God Season 2 Episode 3 Review And Recap

Today’s episode picks up right from the part where we see Wangnan and Nia spending a boring time in their room. After thinking about what to do, they finally decide to play some cards. On the other hand, Love, who is a ranker and test admin on the 20th floor, refuses the advice of his superior. His superior does not want Love to enact personal grudges against Viole, who is a member of Fug, an organisation that wants to overthrow Jahad and his followers.
Love absolutely refuses to abide by his advice, and he further clarifies his intention to stop Viole. On the other hand, we see a shady old lady trying to lure Miseng, but she is saved by Akraptor. From here, we can accept that even though he might look scary and has previously tried to do underhanded things, he has a kind heart. Nonetheless, he still manages to make Miseng cry. However, things go pretty smoothly when Wangnan comes to invite them to play cards.

While having a good time playing cards like normal people, Goseng even commented that it would be great if they could just forget about the tower and live like this normally every day. But all of the positivity goes away when Love contacts every Regular in the middle of the night that their time has come to take their final test.
This test is a complex one, as it is more like a game called the trustworthy room. Seven players must secure six of the rooms, and they will have to choose a leader and a gatekeeper for each room. Viole, however, has a completely different rule for him as he is the one who refused to follow the rules before.

Verdict
Today’s episode started off fine and ended on a tense note. The storyline till now, is clear enough for you to understand what is happening. But it is the animation where this season falls short vehemently. The action sequences look dodgy and not very clean. I would have preferred if they kept the same kind of animation they used in the first season.
