Overview
Tower of God is a South Korean manhwa by S.I.U., serialized as a webtoon on Naver Webtoon since June 2010. By May 2024, it has been compiled into 15 volumes by Young Com. The English translation has been available on Line Webtoon since July 2014.
The anime adaptation’s first season premiered on April 1, 2020, in South Korea on Naver Series On and Aniplus, and aired in Japan from April 2 to June 24, 2020. At the Crunchyroll Expo in August 2022, it was announced that a second season is in production.
This season, produced by The Answer Studio and directed by Akira Suzuki with Kazuyoshi Takeuchi as chief director, is scheduled to premiere on July 7, 2024. NiziU will perform the opening song “Rise Up” and the ending theme.

Plot
Tower of God follows the story of a boy named Twenty-Fifth Bam. Bam has lived his entire life confined beneath a massive, enigmatic Tower, with his only companion being his close friend, Rachel. When Rachel decides to enter the Tower, Bam follows suit and undergoes many experiences.
In this season, we will see a new protagonist and explore more about Ja Wangnan. He is stuck on the 20th floor of the tower and unable to advance despite numerous attempts. His determination remains unshaken, and he refuses to quit. During his efforts, he encounters Viole, a mysterious and powerful figure. Wangnan invites Viole to become part of his group of Regulars, and together they face a series of new challenges.
