The 11th episode of Tomo-chan Is a Girl or Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko! (トモちゃんは女の子!) is here, and this episode was just hilarious with its different character’s quirky antics and the random situations they fall into. Now without further ado, let us jump into this review.

Still From Tomo-chan Is a Girl

This series is that much-awaited anime adaptation of our beloved romcom manga of the same name. Fans of this franchise are beyond ecstatic that this perfection of a romcom is finally getting the proper treatment it needs, and we are excited to see how it goes.

The anime is directed by Nanba Hitoshi, who has worked on Anime like Fullmetal Alchemist, Hajime no Ippo, Gosick, etc. The sound director is Masanori Tsuchiya, who has given music to shows like Plastic Memories, Kenja no Mago, Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii, etc.

The opening song will be Kurae! Telepathy (くらえ! テレパシー)” performed by Maharajan. The ending theme is “yurukuru*love” performed by voice actors Rie Takahashi, Rina Hidaka, Sally Amaki.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Still From Tomo-chan Is a Girl

Another hilarious episode of Tomo-chan Is a Girl! is here, and we are back again with its review. This episode starts with Tomo thinking about whether she can land a part-time job as she wants to gift something to Jun on his birthday. Misuzu also comes in because she knows that if she leaves Tomo alone, there can be grave consequences. And lastly, even Carol decides to be a part of their plan as she doesn’t want to miss out on the fun.

That is when Tatsumi joins their conversation as he has some offer to make. His parents run a ramen shop, and recently his mother has been out of town for some days. They need help around the shop, which is why Tatsumi makes his father employ these three girls.

The service starts, and unsurprisingly Tomo and Carol could not accustom themselves to the work in the beginning. Surprisingly though, Misuzu was great during service as she could talk freely with every customer with a huge smile on her face.

The next part of the anime focused on Tomo asking Misuzu about giving her some more tips on how to get closer to Jun. Misuzu being the prankster that she is, offers to push Jun into the arms of Tomo, making her save him. This will initiate a physical connection which will enhance their feelings. But the plan does not go well at all, and the results land Misuzu in a pretty bad mood.

Misuzu also becomes so disappointed with herself that she even refuses to come to school and face Tomo at all. But in the meantime, Carol takes advantage of her absence from school and elects her for the role of Cinderella. And Misuzu was not happy with this, she was terrifying even. But she is not alone, Tomo will play the character of the Prince, Carol will play the character of the evil stepmother, and Jun will play the role of a tree. Hopefully, Misuzu’s feelings will get sorted out, and she will start to feel better again by the next episode.

Verdict

This episode was particularly funny as it had way more amusing points than previous episodes. We even got some one-sided affection moments from Tatsumi towards Misuzu, and her reactions to his advances were hilarious. Watch this anime on Crunchyroll.
