When the first season ended, fans felt endless frustration because of the massive cliffhanger of the last episode that left many questions unanswered. This is why the hype around this anime is insane, and we are sure it will live up to it.
Director Hatsumi Kouichi, who also worked in anime like Darling in the FranXX, Deadman Wonderland, Hunter x Hunter, etc, will handle the direction for the series. Studio LIDENFILMS which handled the first season of this anime will be returning for this season. They have worked on Koi to Uso, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yofukashi no Uta, etc.

Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 10 Review and Recap – Like A Brother

Another episode of Tokyo Revengers is here, and we are back again with a review of how this episode went. The episode opens with Takemichi coming face to face with Hina and getting lost for words.
We see how she got to know that it was her father who told her boyfriend to break up with her as he is a hoodlum. She also understands her father’s concern, but she loves Takemichi nonetheless. This resolve in her makes her argue with her father and tell him how great a guy Takemichi is in real life, as she understands that he will always be there for her.
Feeling sad that she had to break up, she then goes to the shrine and coincidentally meets Emma. Hina elaborates on her problems to Emma, and Emma calls Draken and Mikey telling them to get Takemichi to Hina’s place. And that is how Mikey and Draken were able to confront Taiju in the church.
After meeting with Hina, Takemichi readily accepts that he knows he is a bad influence, but still, he will protect her at all costs from any dangers. Then they get back together, and Mikey steals Takemichi to take him on a drive.
Some interesting information got relayed in this episode. Before, we only saw and heard about Mikey’s older brother Shinichiro who used to head a huge gang, but we never really learned about him in detail.
Here, Mikey admits that Takemichi is very much like his older brother, who, despite being the leader, was weaker than every other member of his gang. Even then, he was someone who would shine the brightest when he was leading the pack, just like Takemichi, who is physically weak but has never once given up in an adverse situation.

Mikey also insists that if he ever were to get astray from the right path, Takemichi, be the one to scold him and show him the correct way, just like his brother once did.
Verdict
This episode is really special because it gives us an intimate view of Mikey’s mind. He, too, understands that after his brother’s and Baji’s death, he has become more vulnerable. At times, he even can not distinguish between the right or the wrong track, but he knows that his friends and gang members like Takemichi will be there to set him right. Watch this anime on Hulu.
