Netflix is back again with yet another stand-up comedy special, this time featuring American comedian and famous podcaster Tim Dillion. Directed by Ben Avery, the show stars the titular comedian himself in his candid and real avatar. The offbeat film is 48 minutes long.
For the ones who are not aware, the Irish Catholic descent Tim Dillion rose to recognition after his appearance at the Just for Laughs comedy festival hosted in Montreal. Following the popularity of The Tim Dillon Show podcast, the public personality has become an underrated star in the comedy and entertainment industry. This comedy special takes place in Denver, Colorado.

Tim Dillion A Real Hero: Not All Heroes Wear Capes, Some Just Get On Stage
Retaining his charisma of being charming yet cutthroat honest, Tim Dillion A Real Hero does not cut any slack when it comes to generating some real laughter. Dillion starts off the show with a sarcastic, almost jealous note on calling his Denver audience fit, giving a nod to how the place is rated to be the fourth fittest city in the United States.
The show goes on as Tim jumps from one nuance in the life of the people to another, starting from red Texans to gender fluidity and the education that follows this new age development. There’s the love and hate for fast food as there is the bittersweet life of living in Texas. Dillion’s rant extends to Disney adults and the South Park franchise.
Much like all the other comedians out there, Tim Dillion too succumbs to bringing in the quintessential COVID-19 jokes. However, it is dark and different when Tim lays down the stepping stone of TikTok rages and dead bodies. And, if you are getting critical at this point, you should really look around for it is and has been true throughout the pandemic.

But, there are, of course, moments of staggering difference in beliefs. Such as the anti-vax yet apolitical statement of Tim getting COVID only after being vaccinated because that is how you get it in the first place. Really? Umm, well, that’s not all because the sensitive George Floyd case also sees some light which might be triggering for some and laugh-worthy for others.
Tim Dillion A Real Hero: Final Verdict
The question always comes down if you should stream it or skip it, right? Well, much like Ricky Gervais, Tim Dillion is a comedian who might not be up everyone’s alley. He is extraordinarily honest and truly offers you dark humour if your soul is seeking some. He has the zeal to hook you and impress you. But, he can also be triggering and cross the line.
Comedy is purely subjective, much like every other form of art, which is why it isn’t sound to evaluate something just because it does not line with your personal views. Having said that, Tim Dillion A Real Hero, really offers nothing more than a mirror of jokes based on what has happened or is going to happen. Maybe some of them are too harsh and some can be laughed off like blowing away a melting snowflake.

You should stream Tim Dillion A Real Hero if you are someone who likes to watch black comedy and dark humour. If Dave Chapelle and Ricky Gervais is your name, Tim Dillion might just be too. Otherwise, this might not be the ideal watch for you.
You can stream Tim Dillion A Real Hero now on Netflix.
